Was that rule of 2 some uncontested rule or just a master and an apprentice no organized jedi councel shyt because where is the balance if u had 500 jedi and 2 sith dudes? At least i thought thats how they would explain snoke and if a crew bump into other sith lords they either keep wuiet about it or fight to the death.

the rule of two was more of a jealously thing... similar to Larfreeze...
they we so jealous of each other they killed each other until one remained... he then trained an apprentice who he knew would eventually try to kill him .. and this started the rule of 2

Why the fukk is there not one director for this trilogy?


We didn’t get to see Luke at full power after all that anticipation. I don’t care about that intergalactic projection.

I wanted to see dude in full combat, Jesus mode. After all these years that’s how he goes out

i saw this over the weekend and thought it was a good movie. my only problem with it is snoke not being flushed out more and the casino city scene was longer than needed imo. i think snoke is a smart and complex character so seeing him developed more would've been cool, but the focus is on kylo and rey's story so it makes sense that they spent the film focusing on them.

seems like they wanted to focus on "the force" and spend a lot of time talking about it and giving it a definition. the scene with Luke and Rey training on the edge of the cliff and asking her what the force is was really good. and the humor in this was good. General hux was a standout imo. good character with a funny personality.

I was talking with a friend about the snoke thing...and he was right that it technically is like days after TFA, and like Rian said, why the fukk would rey care who snoke was...honestly think his story will be told in a book at some point...but for Rians story his charactar wasnt an essential part....going into episode 9 now we have Kylo who has taken out the person that didnt really believe in him and belittled him...

this new trilogy is not about the skywalkers its about the FORCE...... ep is called The Force Awakens .. ep 8 is the last JEdi .... this trilogy is about putting an end to the skywalker chosen one prophecy and leaving the force to be in control of its own destiny... don't wanna bring religion into this but this turning into ... instead of believing in god to maintain us ... we all have a piece of god inside and need to channel that power within us all...

Absolutely, thats why the more i think about it, reys parents being no bodys makes more sense...where did it ever say she had to be related to a skywalker or sith or anyone...thats just what we expected...the force is all consuming and anyone can have it (last scene shows the force could be in anybody)

I dont have a problem with this I like the idea tbh. I just would rather them jumped like 60- 100 years after rotj and said the original characters are dead and started clean. Dont shyt on Luke skywalker's legacy tho.

Balancing the force isnt a numbers game, it's about living in harmony with the force- the Sith manipulate and corrupt using the force causing imbalance.

At least that was George's view which Disney will probably bush

Also the jedi believed the light side was the true version of the force (balanced and going with the will of the force) and the dark was kinda of a perversion of the force(bending the force to your will). Otherwise, before they knew are the sith came back in the phantom menace they thought the sith had been extinct for 1000 years so, that would have been real "unbalanced".

When he “survived” all those blaster shots from the walkers I was like “He is the One. He’s about to rip those vehicles to shreds with the Force ”

Then I thought he was gonna school Kylo in lightsaber combat only to find out he’s a fukking hologram and dies right after

but Luke was never the chosen one it was Anakin.... the entire OT is about Anakins redemption ... after all he is the one that killed the emperor and since he turned back good they are technically no more sith

Well Ben did it to protect and hide Luke and Leia from him. The idea being if he knew their thoughts or knew he had kids out there, through the Force, he'd be able to sense them. So it's a different scenario here. But I think they just wanted to be truthful with Ben, not hide anything from him. They probably felt like they were lied to
