Leia was walking around Vader and he didn't know it was his own daughter (of course retroactively once RotJ turned her into Luke's sister).

The movies have set up, and now canonized, that you can close yourself off from the force. So Palpatine was just a typical senator.

as far as there being so many women in the resistance..

the only reason im not upset over that is because in war, the men would be the first to be killed anyway. if they on their last hundred members it makes sense itd be more women than men as the men would have died fighting.

basically treated chewie like a nobody in this film he dont do shyt. he comes in sees luke, luke realizes hans gone, they have a talk we dont see and then chewie spends the rest of the time chillin in the falcom by himself.

they dont even get together to have a talk about han.. theres so many problems in this movie.. it totally neglects everything before it to be its own story. fukk this rian guy

i saw this over the weekend and thought it was a good movie. my only problem with it is snoke not being flushed out more and the casino city scene was longer than needed imo. i think snoke is a smart and complex character so seeing him developed more would've been cool, but the focus is on kylo and rey's story so it makes sense that they spent the film focusing on them.

seems like they wanted to focus on "the force" and spend a lot of time talking about it and giving it a definition. the scene with Luke and Rey training on the edge of the cliff and asking her what the force is was really good. and the humor in this was good. General hux was a standout imo. good character with a funny personality.

He wanted to kill him then had a change of heart while he was coming to this realisation kylo woke up. By that time luke was already like . We dont know how things would have been if he was on guard and ready for combat

Jedi's can sense when people are going to attack them through the force. Or at least good ones can which evidently Luke Skywalker wasnt

Vader didn't know he had kids ... remember they made padme still look pregnant to make it seem like the kids died and also Leia's last name was Organa ... Luke was Skywalker so once he emerged... he was like shoot.. I got a son.... It was Luke who reveled to Vader Leia was his twin..

Exactly but that's my point, if someone is closed to the force they are not detectable.

Palpatine didn't just close himself but he was skilled enough to consciously do it, so it doesn't matter how many Jedi were walking around - he was undetectable.
