Rouge One was the better film.
You mean Carrie Fisher's real life daughter? She was in TFA also. She's in this solely because of who her mother is.was surprised to see the sis from the last american horror story in this...was kinda weird seeing her weird looking face dolled up w/ leia's hair
Love how complex it is emotionally and taking a world that’s often black and white and saying “nah it ain’t that simple” and Star Wars should be morally complex as a reflection of our world now just like the first trilogy was a reflection of the 70s.
As awesome as the scene was, I’m not understanding how two powerful ass Jedi like Kylo and Rey had such a hard time fighting off those soldiers.
They didn’t even use the force at all. Vader or prime Luke would have washed them nikkas solo.

I see people saying this but Star Wars has shown that since Vader suddenly turned into a good guy.
The prequels then went even further and gave us a war that had good/bad guys on both sides - as the Separatists were totally right that the Republic was corrupt, yet the Jedi and civilians serving the Republic weren't. It also showed how politicians like Padme were forced to abandon their ideals at times, as were the Jedi. Rogue One showed that the Rebels also had to get dirty.
I love that TLA built on this but it definitely didn't introduce it into the saga.
I liked the movie more than TFA and Rogue One. Seems people are mad that NONE of the theories they spent two years crafting came true. People complaining about not knowing Snoke's backstory, ummm it took 30 years for the Emporer's background to be explained and nobody had a problem with that.
Action was on point, cinematography was much better than the previous two movies, and most of the comedy was good. Only jokes that stood out as bad were in the opening with Poe and Hux and that water suit shyt with Finn. Also they clearly have no idea what they want to do with Finn, but at least in this movie he wasn't a bait and switch character. Cut about 20 minutes from this movie and it becomes great status.
I loved how they actually made those red troopers look competent. Someone on the Empire should show some level of fighting acumen other than the sith.
It feels different tho. It doesn’t feel quite as “wholesome” as those. I think it feels like more of a point in this movie and force awakens rather than an afterthought in the other movies. Like no one questions it really hard in those movies. Lol even luke kicking dirt on the Jedi and saying what a lot of fans say. This movie seemed intent on deconstructing Star Wars

She might have had one line in TFA but she was always at Leia's side in the war room and of course the hair is a homage to her mother.didnt know that was her daughter. Damn didn't even notice her in TFA
The whole of Sith was Padme and the Jedi questioning their roles in the war though, and Anakin questioning the Jedi philosophy vs his own desires. And Rogue One was about how far the Rebels would go.
I agree that Luke questioning the rep of the Jedi was great, so was Yoda acknowledging that failure was his greatest teacher (he ends Sith saying "failed, I have").
That Benicio/Finn scene came off a bit too on the nose for me. Although it's consistent with people constantly one-upping Finn and putting him in his place (which was not a good thing in TLA).
