The movie doesnt even take risks though, thats the funny part. Rey is even more on the light, and kylo is even more on the dark. The Empire (excuse me First Order ) is still chasing the rebels. We're right back to where we were by the end of TFA except no luke or snoke now with zero answers to show for it besides why kylo burned the temple down


They try to make rey moving the rocks at the end a big moment, but we've already seen her do more impressive shyt.


And rey had far less screentime in this movie

Kylo's a big bad guy who can't beat Rey, we already knew that. Is this shyt gonna go on for another 6 movies like Voldemort chasing Harry Potter? At least Voldemort was interesting. Kylo's like "nobody is giving props to my grandfather, so I'm gonna go and kill my dad and embrace the dark side". After two movies, do we even know WHY Kylo was so drawn to Snoke? Was it just his fixation on his granddaddy or something else? He's literally a caricature of a villain. We have no clue about why he killed his father. When Rey asked, he asked her a question as a reply. WTF? Rey's sympathy for him is baffling after that.

The Finn and Rose side plot was esstentially filler they didn’t even need to hack the ship anyway since the lady hyperdrived through the ship. did like that they showed Finn was ready to sacrifice himself for the resistance

Luke was great loved his sacrifice and how he used his status as a legend to inspire the Rebellion one more time.

Rey I actually liked a lot in this movie compared to Force Awakens. Her admitting she was afraid of her raw power was a good step choice for her character.

They explained this in the movie and it's why they spoke so much about the "balance". This is literally implied throughout all 9 fukking movies!

I'm finished with the series. Finn actually is very skilled and very gifted warrior, according to Before the Awakening book, which I thought was canon. All that is thrown out the window in this movie, and like someone mentioned earlier, he's just a jobber. He's brave and gives good intel on the First Order, but that's it. Oh, forget about him being force-sensitvie, too. This movie showed no chance of that happening. The Phasma fight was also underwhelming.

Where the heck are the Knights of Ren? I'm very interested to know more about this group of force-sensitve, former luke students who are bad-asses, but they appear nowhere in the movie.

I hated how they got rid of Snoke. We don't learn anything about his background, how he came into power, and what the heck is out there in the unknown regions, which I assume he is from. They could have done much more with his character.

As a black man, I cannot support this franchise anymore because of the way they have screwed up Finn's character.

I think him keeping the mask off is what separates him from Darth Vader. The deep scar he has on his face is pretty menacing. You can also see his hatred for the Jedi even more without the mask. Every since Snoke told him about his mask, I don’t see him putting it back on.
