But while I think it was better and overall a solid movie there's still a lot I didn't like.Finn is a jobber. I kinda just want him to die. Conflicted about the snoke thing. Like i still want answers about him. Too powerful to just overlook. I couldnt have been the only one wishing rey would have taking up Kylo. Dont get how luke died. Loved them letting him go out like an OG tho. The fake that the first order wastes so much time and energy on fighting 300 rebels in a galaxy of people still baffles me
Another thing I felt was a shot at JJ:
Except for the opening crawl Rian bushes that RESISTANCE shyt and just refers to Leia and her gang as REBELS.
They even refer to themselves as Rebels, and "Rebel scum" is used loke 5times in the movie
Lack of Score:
The score had no punch to it, I give Williams a pass because he almost 90.
High GalacticThe Letter H:
SW doesn't use Earth languages, why are they spelling our alphabet?
Yoda:
A mess, a big mess. Why is his ghost still using a cane? Injuries follow you into the afterlife? CGI was better in AOTC....that says a lot.

Negatives:
Poor Villains:
You can't have a great epic without a strong antagonist and that is what failed with the PTs. Kylo wasn't it because he got ethered by Rey and the same continues here, struggling with the Royal Guards and still unable to best Rey (who had no training). Snoke got taken out like a chump on some sucka shyt...he can read thoughts of Kylo and Rey from millions of miles away, but can't feel a lightsaber move? He can send it around the room and smack Rey without, but he can't feel Kylo about to gut him?
perfect sum up ....the snoke shyt is some of the worst writing I've ever seen put on a film... A character that Strong that can't sense something like that???? Kylo ren being so weak but still getting over on cats???Well, the only positive aspects were the actors, specifically Hamill, Fisher, and Driver. Also the set designs were beautiful, save for the casino scene which sent a big political message (gambling, arms dealing, and animal captivity are th3 evil)...
More Diversity:
Double-edge sword, more Asian actors for that international pull, but they were either on some kamikaze shyt or Chooning....Rose did her thing though as a spunky sidekick.

We All Float Too:
So Leia can point blank survive missile blasts and the vacuum of space? If all high-level Jedi could do that, then Anakin should have been the Peter Quill of SW, just saying "fukk yo vacuum Sitha"...

Girl Power:
This misandry message is bullshyt. Leia and Hodo (sp) slapping Poe and Finn getting zapped by Rose are just man-hating tropes..
Finnesed:
Made Finn the comic relief again, had him in his underwear in bubble leaking and disoriented. fukk the director.....

Weak-Sauce Weapons:
Ren's Star Destroyer was pounding on the Rebel ship for 3 days and didn't breach it. The Dreadnought fired it's main cannons and barely razed the settlement.
The story itself was lazy with the use of flashbacks and nods to the OG/PT stories.
The fact Kylo can mind trick a dude as powerful as Snoke shows just how fukking powerful Kyle is. Snoke can't feel the lightsaber because he's consumed by arrogance, the whole mole beats you in the head about how much of a weakness arrogance is in the Force. Kylo pretty much did to him what every great Sith has done to the Jedi for centuries.
At this point we can only imply that Ren is just not as good with a saber as he is with the Force.
And yeah, even though I accepted the reason for Rey's power, she's still way too skilled for the zero training she's had.
I see it as Snoke believing he can read Kylo's every thought and intention, and doing so for the most part, yet being unaware that Kylo is able to block off one tiny part of his mind, the part with the intention to bisect Snoke with the Saber. This would be a testament to how powerful Kylo is.
Or perhaps as you said, Kylo completely mind-tricked Snoke. Which is an even greater indication of his power

Hell you can also make a parallel with Vader and Sidious, as the Emperor NEVER saw Vader turning on him at that moment, picking him up like a child and throwing him to the bushes...

can't wait to see how powerful he will be in 9. I'm sure we will finally get to meet the Knights of Ren since Kylo is the new Supreme leader of the FO.

Ren isn't very powerful, Dooku would give him the beats badly....Snoke was just poorly written, you can't make people hit Chris Brown dance moves with the Force and not sense your surrogate son's murderous intent.
Kylo cuts down way more guards than Rey does. She basically gets hemmed up by that one dual wielder while Kylo takes out the rest and only needs the assist at the end after the numbers game finally adds up on him. RJ actually did a great job of displaying Rey's force abilities. All she has his raw strength. Kylo and Snoke toy with her every other way.
