ZERO.

He is the ONLY human character in the cinematic continuity who has battled with a lightsaber and NOT turned out force sensitive
You realise either way this disproves your point about Finn's characterisation, right?

So first off this statement "and NOT turned out force sensitive" is completely false. We have no confirmation on Finn's.....midichlorian count but there were hints toward him having force sensitivity. Regardless, there are two options. Either:

1. Finn is not force sensitive. He is then the only non-cyborg non-force user to have battled with a lightsaber in the films thus far. This speaks extremely highly of Finn's ability, to wield a lightsaber the way he did the first time using it, to land a blow, against a trained dark side user, against a Skywalker no less. This is very impressive.

2. Finn IS force sensitive. Again what he did is impressive, and it means the potential for him to become a Jedi or trained force user in the future. And of course this would make your whole non-issue of him using a lightsaber and not being force sensitive wrong.

If "impressive" to you is getting your ass kicked in every confrontation then more power to you Breh.

No matter how you spin it, there was NOTHING impressive about his character. Rey, less than 24 hours after finding out she has the force, mind tricking Storm Troopers and freeing herself and then, having NEVER used a lightsaber a day in her life, defeating Kylo is impressive.

Poe Leading the charge against Death Star Jr and destroying it is impressive.

Getting your ass kicked by a human girl, a droid, a wookie, an Alien, a storm trooper, and Kylo Ren is LOSING. not accomplishing ANYTHING you attempt is LOSING. Winding up the ONLY "main" character at the end of the movie in a coma is LOSING.

If you don't think it's impressive you don't know much about Star Wars and the lore, period.

What droid? What alien? What stormtrooper (Finn held his own against TR-8R after being handed a lightsaber for the first time 10 seconds prior)?.

What did he attempt to accomplish?

Yes, there is a bit more variability in Finn's direction for Episode 8 relative to some of the other characters. That's what happens with characters sometimes. That's not necessarily a "bad" thing. That doesn't translate to "Cac agenda to have Finn in a coma, weak and with no direction".

We KNOW Rey is training with Luke. We DON'T KNOW if Rey is a Skywalker or will be a Jedi by the start of Episode 8.

We KNOW Poe will be a pilot in the Resistance. We DON'T KNOW if Poe is force sensitive or will play a more prominent role than being a glorified Wedge Antilles.

We KNOW Kylo is training with Snoke. We DON'T KNOW if he will become a Sith, how he will respond to Episode 7's defeat or if he will stay on the Dark Side.

We KNOW Finn has joned the Resistance and will be a Resistance/Republic trooper. We KNOW Finn has displayed leadership skills and tactical skills (aka General) and we saw several hints of his force sensitivity. We DON'T KNOW if Finn will therefore be trained as a Jedi later in the trilogy or how his relationship with Rey will develop.

You're selectively picking certain things to focus on and ignoring others in order to suit your narrative.

Her being a Skywalker has NOTHING to do with her development. Ren being a "sith" has NOTHING to do with his development. Finn showed leadership? When he was telling Rey to run or when he took a backseat to Han and chewy showing up? We don't KNOW that he joined the resistance either. He did what he did to free the girl who friendzoned him and was in a coma afterwards. You hope he's is which proves my point AGAIN.

We know but these dudes won't say that. It's your fault for watching the trailers and promo and using logic.

Han used a lightsaber breh . And that's his fault he never saw a Star Wars movie

Han turned of a lightsaber and cut a dead camel. Stop comparing it to Finn-3PO turning on a lightsaber and going to to toe with a trained jedi turned to the dark side

@Ghostface Trillah was making excellent points and he needed to know he was on point

They don't want to hear you when it comes to racism in film. Oscars nominations just dropped and its all white everything but there's no type of racism and minority misrepresentation going on in Hollywood.

In just going to go read the new GQ with Poe aka "The new face of star wars" on the cover.

You're being shown hints and plot points that were in the movie and dismssing it as "hope".

And being a Sith absolutely has to do with development. And again you ignored the rest of the points.

GTFO. No one is dismissing the reality of racism in media and film. I'm certainly not. We are disputing your nonsensical rants about THIS movie.

No you're using fluff to build your argument. Her last name being Skywalker wouldn't make or break anything. She's still going to be the 2nd to last jedi. If she is its just the icing on the cake if she is. Finn has no cake.
