Just going back and reading some of the speculation, Boyega, Ridley have been long speculated as the lead protagonists. If some of the spoilers are true, my advice would be to keep up with all of the Canon. That includes all movies, both Clone Wars toons and the new Rebels. I'm guessing the next TV show reveals more.

Yall are in the minority on this. These teasers take me back to the old school trilogy. I don't need to see explosions and a bunch of plot points. If you listen to the narrative voice over and pay attention to the sequence of shots, make a few assumptions and keep it reasonable you know what this is going to be about.

Didn't think of that, but if I remember the Rebels episode, Zare was looking for his sister who had been taken. Could be Boyega's aunt or hell even his mom. Don't know if you want to hear them, but the spoilers about her and Adam Driver are pretty cool. Don't know if they are real, but cool as hell.

Adam Driver is the decendent of a certain past bad guy. He is a collector of old Sith relics, including an ancient sword like weapon from a previous age.. He is the Darth Vader of the new villain, meaning he's working for someone. The concept art of the masked figure with the same 'sword' is him
