Bruh, you realize that both those movies made over 2 billion right?!? Avatar is at like 2.7 billion. It might have a chance at titanic but I don't know about Avatar. That shyt made 2 billion overseas alone.

The closest thing to Titanic is Jurassic World at 1.6 billion. Titanic is at 2.1 billion and then Avatar at 2.7 billion.

I'm fully aware. It's been a great year for films.

The force is strong. Trust me.

They already breaking records and the film ain't even out yet

For an empire that controls everything it's not hard to believe that they could rewrite history after they took a loss with Vader and the emperor. Those two dying doesn't negate the fact they still control the narrative throughout the Galaxy. I do think the timeline is a little to close (probably should have atleast been 50 years or more) but if you control basically everything including the history books you can write what you want.
Well 30 years allows the former leads to continue being in the movie and wrap up their stories .

the feminized shyt they have our kids wearing these days. That fabric looks like something out of studio 54 :scusthov:
Is Episode VII and Star Wars gonna get these superheroes the F outta here ? I mean their doing it so epic.
I like that they are showing the comic book genre that while they might be old they are still very much relevant. But we all know a large part of this wave is hope and nostalgia. By VIII it will have the same amount of hype as a LOTR or Avengers and that's being kind, if TFA is another phantom menace it might be divergent status :francis:

Easier to explain Rey and maybe Finn not knowing much about the jedi besides maybe legend cause they've grown up without any jedi around and the em[ire might have wrote the Jedi out of history. But Jedi were plentiful during the time a lot of the empire's people and Han were growing up.
There were many more force sensitives, but in terms of Jedi it was only in the 10's of thousands as far as I'm aware. This in a galaxy of (hundreds of?) quadrillions on countless planets, with many different factions and societies, and with the overwhelming power the Empire clamping down all over the galaxy and changing the narrative for decades :francis:

I've been saying this for years, a

Mandalorian Wars
Jedi Civil War Part I
Jedi Civil War Part II

trilogy would do fukking numbers, Revan DA GAWD :blessed:
They could have a 5-6 movie series involving Revan if they include what happened after the JCW :wow:

Is it nostalgia or is it the fact that people like the characters and want to know what happened to them after episode 6. I think its the latter. You cant finally create the sequel everyone has wanted and then say "Yeah, all those characters and story lines you wanted to see continue.....fukk those. Here is something completely unrelated for you to watch". You can go that route for the later films and spinoffs but for the first one you have to tie everything together.

It's been 30 years at some stage you have to grow and move on, but it won't happen with this franchise because the fanbase can't move on from the originals and will go as far to roll with an imitation of them that gives you the same beats/feeling along with another Vader, another emperor, another group of rebels, another Tatooine and Hoth, characters like Luke and Han but with just different faces and genders. That also features some of the original characters who are now :flabbynsick:.

Y'all are holding it back. You don't want new factions, enemies, planets, groups or storylines you just want the original trilogy all over again:snoop:

What are you saying ? Like I said it's a continuation of the previous trilogies what else would they be about ? It's a starwars movie but you don't want it to be about any of the things fans want to see it be about ? You sound kind of ridiculous

Am I understanding this , people want a movie called Star Wars but not about any of the things that were in the original Star Wars movies . Now I see who the executives are that green light movies about other stuff and use a classic name on it for nostalgia are

There we go, telling something new and bringing in new concepts (I'm not talking about rebranding and repacking like this movie is doing) that weren't done in the original trilogy and suddenly it "isn't Star Wars" anymore, y'all have boxed this series in and you don't even realise it :snoop:
