Meet Han Solo's Black Wife...
GJok5Ap.jpg

While that's true about his wife....Finn definitely isn't going to be Han's son.

The timelines don't really match up. Finn would have to be like 30-35 years old if Han had a son before the events of Episode 4. And while it's possible that he had a son during or after said events, that's even more unlikely of a plot point.

The leads are both 23, right now, btw. Which means around 21/22 when cast/filming

If anyone is going to be related to anybody, it's going to be Rey.

Fam, going off your logic Rey and Finn aren't offspring of anybody. We don't know what went down after ROTJ yet. We do know that in this move, Han and Leia haven't seen each other in years, and are on bad terms. It's very plausible than Han linked back up with Sana between Episode's 6 and 7. Nobody is suggesting that Han had a son before Episode 4.

JJ Abrams himself has said both Rey and Finn's last names have intentionally not been revealed yet to avoid spoilers. This clearly proves that both are related to existing characters. Finn IS related to someone.

Before you try to suggest Finn is related to either Lando or Mace Windau, keep in mind that in the leaked concept art that was drawn based on the screenplay, Finn was a white guy. John Boygea beat out three white actors for the role. Finn was not written as a black character.

Also, based on the spoilers,

Between the scenes at Maz's planet, and the First Order's Castle, there's a scene where Han and Finn talk in depth about Finn's past, and grow extremely close because of the conversation.

The final scene was filmed on Skelling Island, where Rey and Luke were the only characters involved. That would suggest she may be related to Luke.

So with all this in mind, my prediction is:

Rey- Luke's daughter
Finn- Han and Sana's son
Kylo Ren- Han and Leia's son

They aren't going to go that complicated for these films. You're prediction creates way too many coincidences, even for a Star Wars movie. Rey and Kylo being cousins or even brother/sister, sure. Finn also being related to them? And Kylo Ren's half-brother at that? C'mon.

Abrams could have been referring to both their names or just Rey's. He's known for being spoiler-weary (More so than most directors).

Also, as stated earlier....dude simply doesn't look like Han's kid. You can't brush over that. The fact that many auditioned for the part would, if anything, show evidence that it didn't matter what the actor looked like because he didn't have to be related to any of the cast.

I agree that Rey will probably be Luke's daughter though.

In regards to those spoilers :

I've read the spoilers as well, and while it's true that Han bonds with Finn, this isn't implying some blood-relation. It's, if anything, giving explanation of Finn's growth from a somewhat skittish deserter-stormtrooper at the beginning of the film. To loyal, brave, fierce dude at the end of the film willing to fight Kylo-Ren although untrained in lightsaber combat. At least that's how the spoilers read.

Those spoilers have all been consistent with the footage we have seen, including this new footage, confirming that Finn fights Kylo-Ren for a moment before Rey ends up finishing Ren off. And none of them have implied Finn being related to anyone.

Keep in mind, this the same JJ Abrams who swore up and down that John Harrison wasn't Khan until STID was released (even though he claims to regret that).

Given this is a new SW flick and his obsession with keeping everything hidden, I myself don't really believe anything he says about the plot and characters until the film is released. I would not put it past him to lie and use misdirection via statements.

Abrams said what he said I'm reference to both characters.

And lol @ the Finn theory being killed by the fact he doesn't look like Han. Like its a Hollywood requirement that father/son pairings have to resemble each other.
