Keep in mind, this the same JJ Abrams who swore up and down that John Harrison wasn't Khan until STID was released (even though he claims to regret that).

Given this is a new SW flick and his obsession with keeping everything hidden, I myself don't really believe anything he says about the plot and characters until the film is released. I would not put it past him to lie and use misdirection via statements.

Yeah like I was saying, he's known as trying to hold off on spoilers more than anyone else in Hollywood. Which is funny...because his show Lost was probably the most spoiler-centered show ever....

Abrams said what he said I'm reference to both characters.

And lol @ the Finn theory being killed by the fact he doesn't look like Han. Like its a Hollywood requirement that father/son pairings have to resemble each other.

I mean, I'm not saying there is some "Hollywood requirement", but they usually aren't completely separate races though....

Adoption was never mentioned in any of those movies. And even of you want to claim that, why couldn't he be adopted in this movie? Why has Lucasfilm made it a point to give Han a black ex-wife?

At this point, we're all hypothesizing, but if you're completely discounting the possibility of Finn being related to Han, you're clearly not paying attention to the details.
