Another quality episode. We got more background into Michael and Sarek’s relationship and him having to choose his son over her was a great way to integrate Spock into the mix and also further delay the historical reasons behind (some) Vulcans not wanting to integrate humans into their society. The scene with Sarajevo damn near getting killed by the rogue Vulcan is another angle they have to dig into down the line.

I almost get the feeling Lorca KNEW the ambassador was walking into a trap with they Klingon meeting didn’t give a fukk because she was about to take the ship from him and put his ass in therapy. Dude got some clear issues (which he’s obviously managing) but he almost vaporized her ass with the phaser because of his paranoia. Dude is easily turning into the darkest (on screen) captain of them all even tho fukkin Picard got assilimated into the damn Borg! Lorca better hope the Klingons use her for leverage and still kill her, but she’s just so damn value that they won’t waste her.

Yeah I think he knew it was a trap as well.

when Lorca done flipped on the admiral was :pachaha:..then when Saru asking if they should rescue her ass he like :ld: we gotta follow starfleet protocol

Next week's looks fun...wonder how the :flabbynsick: looking Mark Hamil guy plays into it...he did say he'd get his revenge.

@RGM
I gotta get one of those "disco" t-shirts
Lorca side eying Stamets when he was acting Like Big Gay Al in South park had me :mjlol::deadmanny:

Now we see why Sark didn't talk to Spock for like 10 years
And after They saved his ass, he was up in sick bay actin like a little spoiled bytch:pacspit:

Still a good show though

Still think the Ash Tyler thing is a ruse and Lorca is the "True" bad guy
Can't shake that

Another dope episode.

Lorca continues to be fascinating as fukk. Looks like he left the admiral to die to save his own ass.

Michael putting Sarek on the spot numerous times was dope and I loved the character work both of them got this episode. “You can do better” and “father” were two of my favorite lines.

Still unsure about this new chief of security.

Also season two just announced

They really wrote themselves into a corner making Burnham a mutineer. This episode (and pretty much any episode after the third one) could have been told even if she were just a regular officer on the Discovery, and arguably would have worked better. It also seems like nobody gives a fukk that she's a mutineer except for Admiral Cornwell (and Saru for the first couple episodes), and the only other time it comes up is when she's introduced to a new character and they go, "Oh, you're THAT Michael Burnham? :ohhh:" Tilly was looking to her for advice on how to be a Starfleet captain for Christ sakes. Burnham should be the last person to be asking that.

And now with Lorca offering her a spot on the bridge crew, that should be an interesting dynamic because nobody should be willing to fukk with her, but it'll probably get ignored for all the other storylines (finding the admiral, Klingon war, Lorca's self-destruction). I figured Lorca would either die or be relieved of duty by the end of the season (and he should because he's a piece of shyt), and it seems to be the direction they're going in, but if that happens Burnham goes right back to jail. There'd be no reason to keep her on the Discovery without Lorca vouching for her.

All that being said, I thought this was definitely one of the better episodes so far, which is good. I didn't like last week's episode at all.
