@RGM
wonder if that last scene is setting up the mirror universe
or there is just some type of displacement since he replaced space hippo and we don't know what all happens to the body under that type of stress.

So Lorca pulled a "the mist" type ending with his last crew.

( probably got saved 10 minuted later, :russ:)

I think that other guy that was prisoner with Lorca on that ship is a Klingon spy.
or hell, it could be Lorca since he is actively avoiding medical care.

Like I said, there are breadcrumbs inside the show but outside the show too. If you compare
the actors playing the characters of Ash Tyler and Voq
it becomes clearer which direction they are going with this.

That's my problem with these new treks they aren't doing any of the cool philosophy or social commentary they use to do using the trek universe.

Exactly. It's like somebody took control who doesn't understand that at its core, Star Trek pushes for a better world by encouraging conversation, pushing boundaries is science and creating new ideas

This stuff they got out now isn't even Star Trek to me

Yeah i agree still giving this a chance but the abrams trek created a new template where its more star wars like which is honestly disappointing but what can I do really lol.

I was on Facebook and I think I know why people are hating on this shyt now...

Because Its not that happy go lucky goofy star trek shyt that people are used to.

Some people said its ver "blunt" than other shows as far as dialogue and intentions.

It's basically "dark" and soft ass people don't like that dark shyt in their movies and shows that aren't necessarily known as dark...

Maybe thats why I like it so much. If I want to watch a goofy ass space-fantasy then I'll throw on the Orville

This shyt is barely 5 episodes in and people already crying :mjlol:

But how you can say that? They at a war... A war the Klingons wanted.

War is a part of reality and apparently this ship is now a strategic WAR ship... Not a explore the universe ship.

Not gonna lie I wasn't feeling that Michael bytch at first especially for being insubordinate in front of the crew bit she was correct.

I like that there is less dialogue and political bullshyt so far and actually seeming like there is a real, serious "adventure" going on.

I expect everything to smoothen out to what you dudes expect is real "star trek" but in time. They started this season in a war and shyt like this happens in war.

If you're talking about the last scene with Stamets, then yeah. I'm kinda meh on the whole mirror universe thing.

Getting tired of nobody listening to Burnham even though she's always right. Despite that, a strong episode. I never knew they could drop f-bombs on this show.

This show would have been more acceptable in the kelvin timeline. Nothing wrong with action and adventure but I hate how people act like trek never had that which is not ture. They it didnt use that as a primary plot device like this show does imo. It tries to be modern and action oriented so badly they dont even act like star fleet officers most of the time. The captain left a civilian behind in the last episode lol. Show still has potential but I do think the are disrespectful to the original fans at times. Btw I thought episode 5 was decent.
