As someone who doesnt like the original star treks I liked both new films

This looks like more of the same to me which is fine by me.

Has potential to be the worst Star Trek movie since the Voyage to find whales bullshyt in 86.

That was a good movie and the highest grossing of the original series movies I believe.

took me foreverrrrrrrrrr to even consider watching the reboot because they are all over the place with what we know star trek as. i cant really fukk with the new spock and him showing emotions and kirk just doesnt evoke what we know from a captain (shatner, stewart). I dunno, these new movies are like the Muppet Babies of Star Trek

I have enjoyed the first two but they dont have the soul of star trek and this one looks even further removed I am not feeling the trailer.

I'm surprised to see people didn't like Into Darkness. I think I might have preferred the original reboot a little more, but I still liked the sequel a lot.

It looks good to me. With the exception of 'Wrath of Khan', Star Trek was never supposed to be taken too seriously.

Yeah I enjoyed both new movies also. As far as what the old fans want, I have a buddy at work that is a fan of the old ones, but he digs the new ones too. he was saying how old Trek heads that are salty they've basically become Star Wars movies is that they don't understand that no studio is ever going to put out a movie like the OG Star Trek flick, which was slow as fukkkkkk. Even the ones with more action were pretty slow by today's standards, and no huge sci-fi franchise is ever going to be put to the big screen without being more of a classic blockbuster movie.
