It's so naive to think you're protected by being away from the South, racism is everywhere, you can't run away from it.

I hate this idea of "Well our racism is less intense than there's is so..." It's like trying to paint your racism as less of a problem because "Well at least I'm not in the South." It's division, plain and simple. We all are affected by it.

Even at the start of part 1: "I think I bought into the belief that racist are people who like live in Mississippi or Alabama or are older but these people look like men that I see everyday."

Why did you believe that in the first place? Racism is everywhere! And they've never been just older men. Later on she went on to mention Dylann Roof, who, surprise, wasn't an older white male.

Where did this nativity come from to believe that only older white folks are racist and also to believe that they are only huddled somewhere in the south and only affect southern black folks?

People are madddd naive and they also just don't want to know/believe. It's almost like a defense mechanism imo, to understand how racism truly operates and the way cacs really feel is overwhelming to your average Black person I think... it would lead a lot of folks to live in fear so they just keep their heads in the sand about it. The civil rights movement lasted from 1954-1968. It built up moment, these things take time. Also since Trayvons death black people have been very active making changes. To say otherwise is untrue breh.

So you don't think from 1968-2012 when Trayvon was killed,was a long time of doing nothing?

I'd actually give it until the early to mid 70's. We obviously know there were factors and sabatogue that caused the stagnation. But I'm just not seeing the changes that you say you see,based on the resources we have today,outside of what i just mentioned. And most these changes you speak of,is simply black people making changes that allow us to live more comfortably as we assimiliate with whites. So maybe you mistake me,black people have done ALOT to make ourselves more comfortable living among whites,while we remain under the foot of white supremacy. I'm talking about doing nothing in terms of moving towards seperation which is the only long term answer.
