Spin: When did you finally realize that Jay Z's discography is borderline trash?

Yeah I had to give this a one star

Jay has dropped better songs and albums than nas, it's not even worth arguing:bryan:

Never thought Jay's discography was trash, got 2 classics, 1 very good album and some really all time great songs. Don't see how it's even close to being trash, which I'd imagine would be complete throwaway, this just seems like a thread in response to the 1 the dude made about Nas, which I'd also strongly disagree with. Shame in 2017 has to be like this, they both great and both got dope discography...

Never fails, every time. Thread has nothing to do with Nas, but to salvage Jay-Z ya'll always throw Nas' name in the mix.

No, I just think that as a white guy in a black culture it's bullshyt for you to try and ostracize others from the hip-hop community because of their differences by making them feel uncomfortable with epithets and slurs.

Not to mention you didn't add anything relevant to the discussion.
You're gonna see that term in a Jay/Nas thread though. It's from Ether.

No Father To MY Style.. A Son Unique
Honestly i sorta always knew.

My first jay album was vol 2 which i thought was really just a buncha corny singles minus a few dope cuts like the big jaz n dmx song.

Then i copped vol 3. 87% trash thete minus do it again and maybe 1 or 2 others.

Theni skipped dynasty all together cause i heard it at a friends n thought it was typical jay z mediocrity.

Then i bought RD and thought "damn this a great album". I dowbloded vol 1 soon after and went back to ehhhh

Then blueprint dropped and was given 5 mics. When jay brohght up nas "one hot album every ten year average" i then realized and said to myself "jay z is the king of mediocre"

Listened tp the reat of BP and thought it was stupid overrated so ever since then I saw jay z and the king of average albums. His career post BP didnt help matters either. BP2 was again mediocre. TBA was grsat but the 5 duds before it didnt help matters.

If you look up mediocre or average in the dictionary, jayzs album disography is the 1st thing listed. I dare someone to tell me im lying.

Nastradamas being trash is one of the biggest myths in the histort of rap, track for the track it rounds out to a dope album.

:mjlol:at Untitled being on the list (in the land of the blind, the man with one eye is king:mjpls:) SD and HHID are debatable as well. It isn't as clear cut to note dud albums for Nas as it is for Jay
Nastradamus was definitely trash Breh. That's a painful album to even think about. It will go down in Infamy. :pwhitehat:

I would give Untitled another shot.
I hear you on SD (although I love that album) and HHID.
