What about Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3?
Sony only has exclusive right to Spiderman in the movie.
No such thing exist in the gaming world with Sony and Spiderman out side of the deal with insomniac and marvel for Spiderman Solo content.
This avengers deal probably got struck by using the "Spiderman" insomniac created as dlc keeping it off other platforms.
Spiderman can be licensed out to whatever game Marvel's wants him to be in as long as it's not a solo project and it's not the Spiderman look insomniac "created" and it's not a solo Spiderman adventure

that game was made by team ninja a japanese company with closes ties to sony exclusives like Nioh which was probably worked out to allow the character to appear in the game for making Nioh series exclusive to ps4 consoles
or since the series existed previously spider-man might have been grandfathered in because the time frame on that license has yet to expire
or the game was already in production before sony got the license, or team ninja could've paid royalty fee to activision or sony, or its worked out in the Marvel MCU deal,
They own the movie rights.
Have an agreement with Disney on the Videogame License (mainline games). Disney came to Sony about that one since the deal with Activision was over (thank God).
This was a separate deal. Of course it was done because they only want Spidey associated with Playstation.

seeing the momentum of the PS3 the second half and betting on the console that sells well worldwide. It's a no brainer. And it blatantly paid off, esp this gen. Wasn't rocket science.
Sony making sure they look out for their customers, they don't care about Xbox, they want cats buying Playstations. More sales on Playstation, more revenue for them with their royalty fees and such.

It's kinda crazy how Sony basically stole a lot of MS gameplan (paid multiplayer, exclusivity agreements) and is just running with it now
Look, I'm not mad at stans for being mad that certain shyt isn't coming to their favorite system. What I find funny is these same stans think that companies should WILLINGLY pass up opportunities to get a competitive edge. Why the fukk would they do that. They're in the business of making money. one console has over a 110 million sold, the other half that at best. doing anything exclusive with an XB1 at this point is dumb.
