Sony should have locked the game down as an exclusive. Why even buy the game on other platforms at this point?

The point I’m making is that exclusives (console/regional) have existed for a long time so I don’t understand why it’s a big deal. The people on X1/PC that were going to get this game on day 1 were going to do so before Spider-Man was ever in the equation so it really shouldn’t make a difference.
Cos it’s cheaper this way.
If they pushed it back like it's looked like they need to this would be a comparison

Can't wait to stream this game on the PS5 with my team of Silver Surfer, Blue Marvel, and Spider-Man.

Cats getting mad over this but were at MSFT purchasing studios. The rumor of MSFT purchasing WB studios got them salivating at Batman possibly being only on MSFT platforms but Spider-Man being an exclusive character is where the straw gets broke on the camel

Sony should have cut a deal with Disney for video game rights to marvel in exchange for spiderman movie rights.
Disney really doesn't care about the gaming industry but spiderman characters are important to the mcu.

Sony only had the movie rights to spider-man when these games were in production
Once activisions license had expired that's how they were able to get it and make the spider-man a ps4 exclusive
