And Disney and Sony came to a separate agreement on the Spiderman IP for videogames. Since this isn't a Spiderman mainline game, they just cut a separate deal for this one. I know Playstation has the marketing rights on this game too.

Good for them. The actual Spider-Man games might benefit from the partnership, but games like this will suffer.

Spider-Man will always be relegated to a side roll cause the devs have to make him specific to one platform.

So I know it sounds great for fanboy wars but this type of shrewd control is an overall negative for Spider-Man in video games.
