yup and I really wasn't as impressed by it as other were. Has to be the most overrated bond movie ever, glad Mendes Will be gone after this one. Trying to do Nolan with bond?

Nolan has done bond in batman so what's the difference or big deal? There's so much bond influence in his batman films and inception and it made sense for Bond as a character. So what about it didn't line up with bond or not work?

Yeah but that was writers writing it and changing things which happens on a lot of movies..quantum of solace had an actor and the director writing it which is normally not a good recipe. When writers aren't allowed on set, that's not a good look

it was the same problem every time, they didn't have a finished script when they started shooting. never a good recipe either. but as far as qos goes, the biggest problem of the movie was not having a charismatic villain. the story wasn't as bad as it was made out to be. that and overdoing the shaky camera thing.

Yeah I disagree on that being the biggest problem lol. Most scripts are finished for the most part when they go into production. Changing things because you find something better that works or change something that doesn't is different than going in on a first draft

how can I put it so it is easy to understand, sometimes it's easy to for the copycat to take from the source and produce something good. But it doesn't always work when the source tries to copy the copycat. A perfect example would be idk 48hrs they pretty much set the template for interracial buddy cop movies it was R it was gritty and it had just enough laughs. Now say they returned today they would have to play by different rules and we'd see something more like rush hour 3 which would be a betrayal to the spirit of 48hrs. However rush hour wouldn't exist without lethal weapon which itself wouldn't exist without 48hrs.

Gadgets combined with investigative work and fighting crime/terrorists have been around since the old avengers British tv show which was before Sean Connery was ever cast for the part so let's kill that.

I actually didn't like skyfall that much upon my first viewing in the theater. It was still a good movie but i didn't LOVE it like I did casino royale on first watch. But the movie has grown and grown and grown on me to the point where I honestly love watching it now. I can watch it over and over and over. But homey calling it corny? corny is like slap-stick bullshyt or a movie trying to be overly deep or emotional.

Exactly. Corny implies it's that damn pigeon doing a damn double take in the spy who loved me or moonraker, or Kananga becoming a balloon and exploding in live and let die..or Sean Connery, 6 ft tall Scotsman Sean Connery, pretending to be a japanese man in you only live twice through makeup and hunching
