That pic is :scust:

Do people not understand that we are still in the midst of a pandemic? Thousands of people in this country are still dying from covid EVERY SINGLE DAY.

:why:
One of my colleagues called me last night to say she has Covid and can’t come to the office. Traveling back into town from Xmas and she tested positive.

This shyt is really still around.

Basically, you get what you pay for… secondly you suppose to always have a plan B if your flight is cancelled…. Like getting a car rental and driving back… most folk traveling these airlines don’t have the funds to rent a car one way back home
That's like $1k from WA state to Philly car rental

As someone who just got caught up in this mess, if you have an up and coming flight with SW, DON’T GO! If it wasn’t for a friend just driving to pick us up from a hub, we may still be screwed. My wife’s luggage and our gifts are who knows where. Going to just stay visiting for some more time as to not get caught up trying to fly back home.

Can the politicians stop jocking airline industry and get to work on railroads?

We don't have a high speed rail across this county is a BIG FAIL.

If Joe made it happen...that's a dope notch on your belt.

Make rail more affordable and give riders a dope experience. ..stupid you can't have a pet with you on a train though...they lax the laws and I see people using trains to cross country travel. You can't beat the scenery.

Gotta make ticket prices to compete with airlines though.
Even if they start working on it now, your great grandkids will be the only ones to enjoy it if they’re lucky

Depends, when it was proposed back in the 2000s it was estimated to take 20 years complete. Considering road blocks it may have added 10 years but interstate rails would have been completed in 10 -15 years.

Now we have newer technology and construction materials to speed up development. The only reason it’s development slowed is the typical bs.

Union Pacific already has a mainline that goes from LA to Vegas. Brightline could run a train tomorrow if they wanted, but I guess there is so much more money in building a new right of way.

As usual, you deregulate an industry and they stop doing what you used to have laws forcing them to do. And like clockwork the whole country acts surprised the “free market” didn’t magically make things better.

I stopped flying a few years ago because the experience is so miserable. I would literally rather drive 18 hours than spend 8 going through airport bullshyt.
