Seems to me, xbox users support their exclusives, while Sony users just support Microsoft games
10 million is pitiful for a 120 million user base, its also pitiful because its a 300 million budget, they were definitely hoping for 20-30 million sales minimum.

Nintendo releases their games on mobile because they don’t see them as direct competitors, same reason sony will release on pc and switch. Sony said last summer they didn’t see nintendo as a direct competitor and they were telling the truth
Microsoft is in a desperate situation where they’ve already acknowledged that PS is their direct competitor and that releasing games on PS hurt their hardware sales and subscriptions and they’re still doing it because they have to
They’ve realized that they are better off launching on sonys larger install base and taking the hit than to not release on ps5. Sony will continue to take more marketshare from them along with a 30% cut off all the publishers they spent nearly 100 billion dollars on
