i thought people honestly bought the wii just to play that fukking tennis game when it came out. it seemed revolutionary, even with shytty ass graphics
They did, the tennis and bowling. Thats all everyone was playing.

Yes, the price is the reason why, unless you think the Wii would have sold close to 100 million units at a $399 price point.
And PS3s were selling for $2000 at release, what is your point? There are always people out there that will pay well above MSRP at launch. The system is not moving the massive amount of units if PS3 and 360 were the same price.

Wii sports came with the system.
So, for $250 you got a system and game, vs the stripped down 360 @ $299 with no game and no harddrive, or $399 premium system without a game.
What are people going to choose....
GO ENJOY CALL OF BLACK OPS KINECT BREH!
Nothing but negative comments the whole show from this guy.
You kidding yourself man. Old folks homes were not buying up Wiis because they were cheap, they were all playing Wii tennis and bowling. Google nursing home and Wii sports and see for yourself. It was touted as being a great way to get exercise.
At you thinking senior citizens would have bought a 360 instead if it was the same price.
Son, the masses would not be buying the Wii if it were $300-600 like the 360 and PS3, why is that hard to understand?
You don't think there were people who couldn't afford a PS3 and then settled for a Wii?????
The Wii was only 50 bucks cheaper than 300.
Like i said, these were peoples Grandmas and Aunts standing in line at Best Buy to play Wii Sports. Those people are not in the market for a 360 of PS3 no matter what the price point was.
are they already giving up on the Vita? seems like its already dead on arrival.
yall see this http://images.*****.org/v/src/1338863603509.png
It came with a game @ $250, the cheapest Xbox 360+ a game was $360 before tax. The cheapest Ps3 + game was $560 before tax and the 60gb was $660 before tax.
You keep pointing out Grandmas and Aunts as if that is were all the sales came from, for comparison the PS2 has sold nearly 200 million units without the vaunted Aunt and Grandma market. The controls were a big point, but not bigger than the price.
If you're $110 cheaper than your nearest competitor, you're going to sell.
