Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
Actually it was the content on the Wii that got it to sell. It had games with a control style never before seen in gaming. That got the hardcore gamers to buy one just for the Mario, Zelda, Metroid, etc.... But when moms went into Best Buy And Toys R Us, and saw Wii bowling they had to get one for their kids too. I mean even old ass senior citizens were playing Wii bowling and tennis. Senior citizens arent buying a system for God of War no matter how cheap it is.

Fam, it was the price more than anything else, the new control was cool but Microsoft and Sony especially shot themselves in the foot with the price. The Wii didn't have any worthwhile games for the longest time, but that didn't matter cause the 360 and PS3 were more expensive.

Without the accessible price point it would not have moved units.

The price is why for the longest people bought a Wii and no games to go with it? The fact that it came with the game everyone wanted had nothing to do with it?

There were people who dont play video games at all lining up around the block trying to get this thing when it released. Wiis were selling for 200 bucks above MSRP when they released. If price was the reason they bought one then why were they willing to pay so much for one? People would buy the pre-order standby tickets stores gave out at 3am to people who waited in line. I know because i sold mine for 150 bucks. Not the console, just the ticket to be able to purchase the console.

Yahoo, CNN, BBC, Forbes, USA Today, etc...all had huge articles on the Wii and Wii Sports. The price was not the reason people were clamoring for one.

Yes, the price is the reason why, unless you think the Wii would have sold close to 100 million units at a $399 price point.

And PS3s were selling for $2000 at release, what is your point? There are always people out there that will pay well above MSRP at launch. The system is not moving the massive amount of units if PS3 and 360 were the same price.
