has Bungie ever fulfilled a contract? They always want to do things their way. They wanted to leave Microsoft.. Got with Activision, left, went indie, celebrated, purchased again and said "were gonna do our own thing" It's like marrying Kim Kardashian..

Some "discussions" are asinine. This is a "discussion board"
Some "discussions" are asinine.
Shut upScroll past them
It’s a good thing they aren’t under contract anymore then
neitherDo you think it will work better as a movie or series?
ehhhhhhh its really, really not that simple. 343 was bleeding talent before it even got going and its fair to say they've struggled to develop any standout talent in house.
Microsoft Acquires Bungie - IGN
It's no different. They got out the contract by signing over the Halo franchise to Microsoft and in exchange Microsoft let them go. They wanted to make Destiny and Microsoft wanted Halo. Microsoft took employees from Bungie and moved them to 343 studios before they let them go.
neither
i've been saying novels, overwatch-like shorts, and a maybe Forward Unto Dawn type of endeavor as that's something bungie got plenty of solid feedback over (and is familiar with development hell as MS/Bungie never got that Halo movie off the ground)
like.... I think that people really blow up the movies as some sort of benchmark for game crossovers but its not some big deal anymore. SE is comfortable throwing money around with FF movies/tie-ins, Capcom has a whole staple with Resident Evil already and all those movies are popcorn junk at best. More than a few IPs have graphic novels, comics, books, etc. Riot though probably takes the cake when it comes to a game punching far outside of its initial scope. like fr league of legends sucks ass but that's got nothing to do with all they're able to push with it.

investment in a company that's shown it can manage its own growth is like..... kinda what you're supposed to aim for and if you can't do that at least enable that type of thing. bungie moved on from halo because there was nowhere else to go more than anything else.
hell, 343 took the long way around just to accept that the best they can do is add a tame open world and a grappling hook. when general stagnation is progress shyt is fukked up
