The tariffs are paid by the importing company in order to incentivize American production. But the industries are gone, there is not "made in the USA" shyt like that. So the tariff money will get put right back into the product cost, be it t-shirts, televisions what have you.

Ok, bring those industries back to the US. I get it You're gonna say it isn't reasonable etc., but at the end of the day it's a solution not an excuse. Business owners already don't pay taxes on their earnings like that so the next best thing is to tax them on the materials they use to conduct business. A tariff in theory on cheap chinese/Indian shyt that could be made here is not a bad thing at all it's the fact that people are gonna allow the business owners to punish them by raising prices on them that is what is bad.

It is probably too expensive. It is not a lot of CEOs and board of directors ready to pay Americans 15$ an hour when they can pay a bangladeshi 15cents an hour. It's too big of a price difference.
