What are you doing for black people and community

say what you got to say in a couple sentences fam

That’s besides the point, you don’t care what I do. Let’s stay on topic.

What I don’t get is people want dudes who are passionate about their job and love what they do, to not do their job, something they trained their whole life to do. A dream job that they can do for a limited amount in their lifespan. You got grown ass men sitting on this forum on their high horse calling other grown men sellouts because they want work and do what something constructive with their time, something they are passionate about, instead chilling at the crib twiddling their fingers doing nothing. I highly doubt anybody on this forum walk up to their white boss and quit in protest because they gotta eat, bills gotta get paid. I know damn well I wake up every morning and try to provide for my family that takes priority over anything else in my life. NBA is predominantly black sports league. A lot of athletes live paycheck to paycheck. Who the hell yall to tell them, they can’t chase a bag. When most NBA players only last a couple of year at most and these checks gonna be biggest they ever gonna see in their lifetime.

Shut the fukk up :mjlol:

Then come out and say you don’t feel comfortable playing because of the pandemic instead of being a fake woke smart dumb coward.

fukk outta here

Kyrie is a p*ssy

Maybe he don’t feel like playing because of the actual protest and what’s going on :stopitslime:

Bet if Bron came out and said the same shyt you would agree with him tho. You bytchass nikka.

After further review I've got to agree with screaming A and that loveable c00n Barkley

Damn I should of listened to the whole thing before posting Barkley really turned the c00ning up about I don't know about what poor black people go through like this is an economic issue :gucci:

I hate that this obese c00n has become the defacto black voice the white media goes to on racial matters. fukk Charles Barkley.

These brothas are actually in a position of power where they can make a real impactful difference. A random breh quitting his job isn't ruffling any feathers, just stop.

We're talking about potential trillions for ALL OF US. If these dudes go out here and tap dance for massa, sacrifice our trillions for their millions then they can enjoy those millions without a people because they'll be dead to the black community.

Perk says that the only reason Kyrie is ruffling feathers is because the league said he can't go to Orlando to support teammates as an inactive player.

And my question remains, why is this energy only being extended to the NBA? If the basis is that live sports returning is a distraction, why aren’t NFL & MLB players being pressed to boycott?

That’s what makes this idea flimsy to me. If the NBA was the only show in town, then I could absolutely see the significant impact. But it’s not. Most American sport fans will not give a shyt about basketball being cancelled if the NFL, college football, MLB & NHL are all playing which they seem intent on doing.

If those players don’t sit out too then what’s the point?

This is my thinking as well.

If one league sits out and the others play on, then theres no point in boycotting really. So the "distraction" angle is deaded. Even if Kyrie and Dwights hearts were in the right place, this isnt well thought out at all. Its not the move.

LBJ has done more for the black community in one offseason than Kyrie, Dwight, Beverley combined in their whole careers... And hes never taken off of work to do that. All a sudden theyve become weekend-woke and have decided that the whole league needs to cease so they could stay home and figure out how to be pro-black? I dunno if im buying it.

So let's see what they do. I want action! Them sitting out isn't helping us. They have power, influence and money. Lebron built a school, what will Dwight do? Will he put some money up and protest? Is he handing out scholarships to influence more black lawyers to serve in our justice system? Or does he want to sit out because he's scared of COVID and wants to be with his 10 baby mommas. That's a valid reason too. He should come out and say it that way.

Sitting out in protest and crying on social media doesn't do anything. Anyone can do that. A millionaire has to do much more than your average joe.

Bron, Dwight or any other black person don't need to do a mothafukking thing. White people are the ones who need to do. Boycotting will force them to do.

This is a white people issue. They need to change. All Bron and Dwight need to do is make it clear that we're fed up.
