What huge part was Spiderman going to play in this MCU yall keep clamoring over? The fact is, outside of a few cameos that would total 10min TOPS of screentime, no one was likely going to be a part of the MCU Spiderman movies to come and he wouldnt be in anyone else's that would make sense. His gallery is very unique to his own story. Peter's story is all about being personal. The most they couldve done, is what they already did in having Tony be there in the beginning of Civil War. No one that would make sense was going to be a part of Peter's story. He is God Tier boots on the ground hero which is why he doesnt feature much in other or have many feature in his story. Spiderman is not an Avenger. He's always been renegade by nature. Thats part of who Spiderman is and they mention it very often all throughout his materials. If you nikkas ventured outside of movies to give a damn, yall would see that.

I'm sayin though. The only people he really interacted with are dead, in space, or minor characters who aren't gonna pop up anywhere else :heh: Disney don't need Spider-Man.

the funny thing is Sony would pimp out Hollands spider-man in a hot second to Disney/Marval for oneoff avengers/crossover event movies even if they get the Sony/spider-verse on popping just to keep spidey hot and make it feel like there Sony/spider-verse is loosely connected to The Mcu

I don't expect the same team dynamic as we had with Cap and Iron Man leading the charge.

Death of the MCU incoming

DC bout to shut the streets down :wow:

This is why DC got hammered for rushing out a connected universe so early. A vaccuum after MCU's Infinity chapter was inevitable and a perfect time to drop bombs while Marvel takes a step back to world build for their next event.

Imagine if we had properly built up DC crossover movies in the coming years. :francis::mjcry:

Exactly.

The connection to Ironman was Feige's way of making the integration make sense.

FFH concluded the integration process in and took the stakes from cosmic/avenger level threats to making it personal, signature spidey paranoia about his family and friends. He would be in the cut doing his own thing til shyt like Secret Wars get's rolling. The problem is, without a reboot his friends and family remain MCU iterations of characters that can't be used in straight up Sony films, that's stupid.

The real value from Marvel's side of things is not giving Sony a chance to fukk up key characters before they can be used in ways that would make a studio cross over make sense, like they did with Venom. Everybody was waiting to see them Osborn 360's. He's a character that goes beyond the Spiderverse and could flow into things like thunderbolts/Dark Avengers. Or even having a character like Morbius in a Blade movie, even potentially lending him to Sony.

Spider-man himself is a huge win, but having him while Sony rolls out the spider-man-less Spiderverse, confusing the fans and telling people to come see their MCU adjunct movies with no creative oversight as to how they actually integrate isn't a good look.

Until they groom FF and X-men, they'll have to rely on Captain Marvel, Black Panther, and Dr. Strange as the flagship characters.

I wouldn't be surprised if this whole Spidey thing boiled over eventually and they brought him back.

They already made B-Z tier characters into a multi-billion dollar franchise. You think they're gonna struggle to make their A tier super heroes into hits?

spider-man...wolverine and deadpool were the most popular characters in the comics

if/when marvel studios finally gets around to doing a proper x-men flick it could surpass all the avenger flicks...and a solo wolverine flick from marvel studios?? :gladbron: forget about it :wow:
