Do you remember that accessory for the Sega CD which was like some type of big circular pad that you stood on that allowed the person playing game to be motion captured and interact with the game? I know i seen it. Dont know the exact name to it but it did exactly what the kinetic did before it even existed. Did such a thing exist? I'm just trying to make sure that that was a real thing i saw and not my imagination

The neo geo shyt was underground as all hell. Did Gamepro, Electronic Monthly and the mainstream video game mags advertise that system? I know next generation did, I think. The snk king of fighters low key was giving street fighter competition. Capcom was nervous... just like at one point dead or alive was making the tekken franchise nervous. I know that happened when tekken 3 came out. Mortal kombat pretty much got kicked out the convo by the time the 90s was out.

yeah. they had neo geo ads in all of the major mags. i think due to the cost of the system and games, the target customer was older because the ads tended to be more mature. import companies also bought ad space in the back of the mags so you could buy all the japanese stuff as well.
