So why exactly did the broncos take a knee with 35 seconds left/2timesouts+manning?

It's because John Fox is a p*ssy. Always has been ultra conservative. It's a damn shame this dude still has that mindset even with Seyton Manning as your QB. They only needed about 40 yards and they have one of the best kickers in the game....and this idiot decides to kneel

They played to not lose, they didn't play to win

again, going into overtime...

-Where you have a 50/50 chance of getting the ball from the coin toss

-where you still stand a chance to win even if your D gives up points

is still the wrong decision, despite the odds being more in your favor to win?

at that point, them nikkas were :snoop: cause of a fluke play that tied the game...that offense thought they had that shyt in the bag...they had zero momentum

it's like y'all are forgetting what happened, like they weren't all :heh: on the sidelines thinking Flacco's shyt was about to be picked off or swatted down.

You're arguing for the sake of arguing and you sound ridiculous. You even tried to pull that "what had their offense done this game shyt."

What had the Patriots offense done when Bellicheck manned up with basically a rookie Tom Brady and decided to go for it against a Rams team much better than this Ravens team? With worse offensive weapons, and a worse O-line? No one is trying to hear that. The 3rd and 7 is perhaps excusable. But sitting on the ball, especially when your O-line had done a pretty good job of protecting Peyton that game, minus one or two plays which were really coverage sacks?

:childplease:

The Broncos fukked up all around, but that conservative shyt was suspect.

Dude I was gonna make this exact same thread. I thought they lost the game when on 3&7 they opted to just run the ball instead of going for the 1st down. The 30sec thing imo was just the nail in the coffin. When you try to play conservative like that against a team with all the momentum flowing there way, it doesn't end up good.

Also it saps all the confidence out of your offense. Imagine what the offensive players on the field are thinking, "why the fukk does this nikka not trust us to go out there and win it".

fukk what your defense is/was ranked in the reg season them nikkas were playing like shyt ALL GAME, the offense and special teams were what gave you the lead and your differing to the side of the ball that aint helped you out at all in the game :what:.

AND ISNT THIS MOMENT THE REASON THE BRONCOS BROUGHT IN PEYTON MANNING. 3&7 and YOU HAVE A 1ST BALLOT HOF, 4 x MVP, SUPER BOWL MVP, TOP 5 QB OF ALL TIME. 30 sec left and TWO TO and ALL YOU NEED IS 40 YARDS and YOU HAVE A 1ST BALLOT HOF, 4 x MVP, SUPER BOWL MVP, TOP 5 QB OF ALL TIME. :mindblown:

That's what makes it even worse, in the SB the Pats defense played MUCH BETTER than this Broncos defense and Bellicheck still saw that offense getting its mojo and knew what time it was.

I agree wholeheartedly. You can't win in the playoffs playing so conservatively. I get the reluctance to go deep considering Hillman doesn't understand the blocking scheme as well as Moreno but the way they were calling plays down the stretch was as if they were waiting to see who would make the first mistake and not to win the game.

And we all know who made the first mistake :jawalrus:

John Fox is not a winning coach that's why....he's been the biggest p*ssy playcaller basically his whole career. Every game I see him coach he plays ultra conservative, tries too hard to establish a run game even when one doesn't exist and hasn't called a risky play prolly his whole career. Sadly this type of p*ssy ass playcalling is rewarded in the NFL. You can see it by the fact that this fakkit still has a job and not a fukkin peep in the media today about his decision making. He should be getting shytTED on today and if I was the Broncos owner he would've been fired on the spot after the game.

Peyton still should've said fukk it and went for it tho....but he was too shook by that point

Manning is the coach, not Fox. That's all on Peyton there to take a knee.

Peyton's arm was shot for most of that 2nd half.

John Fox coached that game like Marty Schottenheimer: with both hands around his neck. Their playcalling was suspect all game long. They kept running the ball up the gut instead of just letting Manning air it out and that kneel with 31 seconds left was the culmination of that. Simply unacceptable.

and here i was, thinking that Peyton was his own playcaller.:beli:

Peyton cant throw the ball downfield that's why they took the knee. I dont think John Fox thought he could dink and dunk down the field and 35 seconds to get some points

Peyton is just a great regular season QB. 3rd and 5 he opted to run and with 30 sec. left he took a knee. He has 7 one and dones in the playoffs and we hear these same excuses every year. He has two monster wideouts and a poor man's Welker. If he would have dropped back to pass with 30 seconds left and didn't like the look then he could have thrown it away and then took the knee, but to not even try in regulation is crazy.

 And don't give me this "it's on Fox" crap either. You all have been on his jock all year for him calling plays in the 11 game win streak so don't try to bail him out now.
