So why exactly did the broncos take a knee with 35 seconds left/2timesouts+manning?

They took the safest option; forcing it into overtime where they could create a more controlled drive with x-minutes on the clock, rather than forcing shyt in 30-odd seconds.

you still acting like their own fukking kicker didn't knuckle a FG in the 3rd quarter....you gonna rely on him to win it?

That shyt is inconsequential to the bigger picture, because if they decided to drive the ball - the FG attempt would be the last play of regulation. Plus he's one of the strongest kickers in the league, dude has two 59'ers under his belt.

Yeah, and you got nikkas in here telling me that some cinematic 15 min long montage of Peytons rendition of "The Drive" was the obvious/better choice with 31 seconds left... cause it's the shyt that legends are made of :childplease:

b-bu-but all they needed was a FG right? with a kicker who knuckled one earlier in the game? :childplease:

Stop tryna be different just to be different nikka.

You're outnumbered on this one. :aicmon:

Just going to drop this in here..

Tied with less than a minute to play and 80 yards from the end zone, Aaron Rodgers wasn't going to wait until overtime.

Rodgers completed passes of 24, 27 and 18 yards in a lightning-quick five-play drive to set up a 31-yard field goal by Mason Crosby on the final play, and the Green Bay Packers remained undefeated and clinched a playoff berth with a 38-35 victory over the New York Giants on Sunday.

Rodgers hit all four of his passes in the 58-second drive that sent the Giants (6-6) to their fourth straight loss,

Green Bay Packers vs. New York Giants - Recap - December 04, 2011 - ESPN

Sure 30 seconds is pushing it. But if nothing is open you just throw the ball away and take a knee.

This is classic Fox. Play not to lose. And then they lose anyway.

again, going into overtime...

-Where you have a 50/50 chance of getting the ball from the coin toss

-where you still stand a chance to win even if your D gives up points

is still the wrong decision, despite the odds being more in your favor to win?

at that point, them nikkas were :snoop: cause of a fluke play that tied the game...that offense thought they had that shyt in the bag...they had zero momentum

it's like y'all are forgetting what happened, like they weren't all :heh: on the sidelines thinking Flacco's shyt was about to be picked off or swatted down.

John Fox treated him like a fukking rookie. Matt Prater has a career long of 59 yards, you have to trust your elite quarterback to put you in a position to kick the game winner. In that situation I'd expect Brady to throw a couple post routes to his TEs, and a couple quick outs to Welker or Edelman so they can get out of bounds. Peyton could have easily done the same thing. Please believe :beli: wouldn't have been worried about a turnover, that's what winners do. John Fox showed the football world how much of a p*ssy he is.

:what:

who said it was impossible?

you still acting like their own fukking kicker didn't knuckle a FG in the 3rd quarter....you gonna rely on him to win it?

so tell me, just exactly how was going for it the right decision?

They get into FG range, the kicker could miss it, you're STILL going into overtime!!

You're overlooking they have Peyton Manning, a top 5 all time QB & a guy they signed to a HUGE contract not some Grey McElroy type of dude behind center

When they had the ball with under 3 minutes left, they played like bytches! They ran it 3 straight time and didn't look like they attempted for a first down!!!!

That is what killed them.

I agreed, surprised they didn't let Manning pass on 3rd down. John Fox always been a conservative bytch since the Panthers. I wish Peyton throw him under the bus. Elway probably looking at Fox like :beli:

What y'all forgot is if they go for the fg and miss they automatically lose the game! So of course John fox didn't go for it!
Wait they could have tried for the fg AND still gone to overtime? :ohhh: I wonder if John fox knew that

I live in the United States

it made more sense than you think it did breh.

Attempt to win the game, risk losing it...Denver had to go 80 yards in 31 seconds or go to Overtime

where you have the possibility of getting the ball first, and scoring a TD...and winning

and even if the Ravens get the ball first, they still have to score a TD to actually win.

By going to overtime, the broncos effectively gave themselves a better chance to win the game.

y'all acting like it was a fukking cakewalk or something....80 yards in 31 seconds is doable, but c'mon now.

They didnt need 81yds 4 a FG :rudy:

John Fox coached that game like Marty Schottenheimer: with both hands around his neck. Their playcalling was suspect all game long. They kept running the ball up the gut instead of just letting Manning air it out and that kneel with 31 seconds left was the culmination of that. Simply unacceptable.

yea i couldn't understand running the ball on 3rd and long when you got Peyton Manning under center.
The worst part? they had Jacob fukking hester running the ball in these situations. :lolbron:

They played to not lose instead of playing to win. Manning was moving the ball all day on that Ravens D. If he went for it on that 3rd down and they made it, it was game over! Ravens had no time outs

If Eli were the Broncos QB, would Fox still play it like the way he did at the end of regulation? :ehh:

their offense didn't play well, and you have to give the Ravens some credit...

But that scenario is why they brought Peyton in. With a HOF QB, you should be able to get that 40 yards in 31 sec with two timeouts... atleast attempt it

because if they don't succeed on 1st/2nd down, u can kneel on 3rd down.

to sit on the ball with 2 TO's and needing only 40 yards is dumb and moronic.
