So what's the verdict on Ghostbusters? Did it flop?

honestly wasn't as bad as both trailers made it out to be...it's no oscar worthy film by any means, but not completely terrible either. Would suffice as a TV viewing or something on as background noise.

Funny you say this, I noticed I can't watch or be interested in a film that was made in 40's 50's 60's and the mid 70's,, the oldest film i have watched was 2001 a space odyssey,,,,
I barely made through logan's run, soylent green and The Omega Man.

Im sure the effects form the 80's to him look like the effects from the 60's and mid 70's to me, the effects in The Omega Man (1971) was like  to me
Yeah it can be a rough watch , but deliberately not wanting to watch the og Ghostbusters is doing yourself a disservice.

I'm in my 20's and don't give a damn about seem some shytty ass special effects from the 80's :yeshrug:
:francis: You are denying yourself an enjoyable movie they used more practical special effects then that actually looked real instead of the incredibly fake looking cgi we get now.

Man you gonna miss out on some good stuff being worried about that.

The Terminator and Predator came out in the 80s too. Not to mention They Live, Batman, Star Wars, The Thing, Back to the Future, The Fly, Creepshow, The Shining, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Beetlejuice, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Poltergeist, Child's Play, Indiana Jones, Robocop, Evildead, etc.

You can't put down the 80s man.

Don't forget Gremlins.

I'm a little biased in that regard. :jawalrus:
