All them producers you named may have a sound or work you like more, but to say The Neotunes were “B grade” producers is a lie and some hating ass shyt

Somebody really posted "Throw Them Bows" like Luda aint the saving grace to that beat. Now you can make the argument that alot of beats have been made by how the rapper used it. But Neptunes got alot of beats like that. Where if you aint listening to the performance of the rapper,but actually listen to the beat? All you can do is grimace in disgust,or laugh because it sounds like an innocent child made it. Same goes for Timbaland and Swizz too. But Swizz isnt nearly as overated as the other two.
They are the most overated of the highly rated,those considered goat producers.
Definitely not ahead of their time with those casio/"miscelaneous noises you would hear in a preschool classroom" beats. How can yall hear beats like this
And call Neptunes and Timbaland geniuses or futuristic? Its a reason these hiphop nikkas should mostly stick to sampling. Or learn how to truly compose and make music like their predecessors.
Ya'll just hate beats that don't sound loke some variation of RZA/Premo/Pete Rock/Alchemist. That's fine, but to dismiss it because you don't like it isn't. Timbaland and The Neptunes are geniuses.

That can be said about any beat from any producer tho
These sounds capture a time period
But to me, if the beats that The Neptunes produced back in the late 90’s and 2000’s were presented as new beats for songs today they would still sounds just as great to me
I really feel like they captured this far outer space timeless sound with their production

"B Grade" producers don't produce strings of classic hits like they did, along with a lot of great and classic non singles/songs
The Neptunes are among the elite. They are some of the greatest producers in music.
