"I care about American citizens"

The idea that automating away longshoremen's jobs as a solution to their power is ridiculous. I'm not surprised your ignorant ass is advocating for it. If we start replacing people every time they demand better wages, better working conditions, and stability, then no one's job is safe, and society is going to collapse under the weight of its own greed, but again, you care about American citizens. It's ridiculous how you're talking like these workers don't matter when they do. They're the ones keeping supply chains running and ensuring shyt even make it to where it needs to be. Automation isn't some magic bullet, it's a short-sighted way for the rich to squeeze even more money out of the system while leaving everyone else high and dry, but again, you care about American citizens.

That Arby's analogy is just too stupid to even attempt to address in a meaningful way.
This union head is out here enjoying the fact that he has a chance to, and I’ll quote him, cripple you. The sooner we can automate folks like that out of those positions the better. Save that tough talk for the companies you are trying to get more from. Not for the average joe, who in your region has just suffered a catastrophic hurricane

:rudy: i'm supposed to feel bad for these dudes? what the fukk?

they AVERAGE 200k a year, plus another 100k worth of benefits and pension?

i don't think the public is gonna side with them
Bingo.

It's hard work but it's not like you need to study circuits, o-chem, molecular bio etc. They do a dangerous job but.....they'll fukk around and overplay their hand.

If they were making $50k/year doing all that work, folks would side with em. Ain't nobody finna cry over a gang of union nikkas making $200k/yr + awesome benefits. You got M.S. and PhD's that aint touching that.

White collar folks that had to grind the books and blue collar women give zero fukks.

Factories and everything can shut down because the ports are not moving products that they need.
This one can hurt.

It won't take long either.
People are about to lose their jobs and they don't even realize it.
Welp, I work for a real estate/construction company. No building material? Ooooh boy.

robots, fool :dead:

and robots don't threaten to shut down the economy, because their thug union boss is in donald trump's fukkin pocket :scust:

What if the robots are banned, or heavily taxed in order to prevent their use in America? There are plenty of ways to defend US workers on this topic. The irony here is that if automation goes through, your personality suggests to me that years later you'd blame democrats for not fighting hard enough to prevent it from happening, once the results (further collapse of the middle class, white working class voters further abandoning democrats, etc) become clear. Because at the end of the day your focus is never really on results or consequences, it's on optics. "This looks bad and democrats are going to be blamed" is always your auto response to anything. You said the quarantines/shut downs (which Trump and virtually every governor in America supported) were going to destroy democrats because of the optics that liberals wanted to keep the country close. You were wrong, as evidence by democrats winning the 2020 election and avoiding disaster in 2022. You hand wring over various trans and gender topics that have bad optics for democrats, yet never result in democrats losing elections. I can go on and on lol.

You know who didn't deal with quarantines or shut downs? The longshoremen who kept our economy going. You know who got massive financial benefits? The CEOs and corporate overlords. If a company can afford to give these people tens of millions in bonus windfalls and golden parachutes, they can afford to give raises to the folks who actually do the hard labor. Yes they make a lot of money. I think a lot of other workers should be making a lot of money too, which is why unions are important.

ILA President Daggett enjoys a long relationship with Donald Trump going back decades in New York City. Both Trump and Daggett are the same age and were both from Queens, New York.

In late November 2023, former President Trump invited the ILA president to meet with him in Florida at Mar-a-Lago,
