I don't even care for Tebow though. I literally have no dog in the fight and I most definitely view those acts of insubordination differently.

The Jets completely mismanaged the Tim Tebow situation and while I may not think it was handled properly by Tebow, I can fathom it more so than I can fathom quitting on the field in the middle of a game as team captain

It's no different in Sports...period. I can care less about the who what when where and why you're so focused on.

It's football....you do what's asked, period.

If HOFamer Marcus Allen didnt bytch, a Super Bowl MVP that later got the shaft, this scrub shouldn't either.

Arguing with your teammates on the field and quitting on your team in the middle of a game, as a captain and the team mismanaging your situation and playing time all year until you get fed up with not playing is the same thing to you?

Neither should be expected or acceptable but they are not anywhere near the same circumstances. One is a lot more understandable than the other IMO

:dahell: What is this "mismanaging your situation and playing time" bs? It's the coaches job to manage the team, not a singular, entitled player. What exactly was Tebow's "situation" supposed to be exactly for people to say it was mismanaged? He was signed to be a backup. His "situation" is sitting on the bench and being available if needed. That need is evaluated by the head coach. Tim Tebow's "situation" and playing time are whatever the coach say they are. He is getting paid to do whatever he's asked to do. He was quite vocal in his initial press conference, when he wasn't saying excited every other second, as to how all he wanted to do was be a good teammate and contribute in whatever way he was asked. He was quite vocal about being willing to contribute in other ways besides QB.

The team rejected Tebow LONG AGO. All he did this weekend was gracefully step aside. Nobody begged or insisted on Tim's participation with the wildcat. Jets could not possibly care less.

A prophet is never recognized in his own village. But one day, the stone that the builders rejected will become...the cornerstone. u_u

You don't! Tebow didn't get to play this year b/c he is worse then Sanchez. End of conversation. If he was better he would have started over him.

Nothing else to talk about here.

except he's not. There isn't a QB so bad that he's worse than a guy who needed to be yanked from a game where he was losing to Ryan Lindley. He's not worse than a guy who averages 2 turnovers a game. He's not worse than a QB HE BEAT! You almost had to watch Fez in practice and think "what's the point? He's not able to play like this in a game"

If the Jets weren't gonna give him a chance, don't name him #2 . Tebow probably wouldn't have been cool with coming here, but then Woody would have been pissed. They used each other.

Tebow's numbers say that he isn't worse than Sanchez, if we're going by the numbers.

Blame Woody. He was named the number 2 the day he was signed and took a snap.

Everyone at practice saw he was the worst of the bunch. Funny how we say nothing about Denver players saying the same thing.

Yeah but Denver played him and they went to the playoffs, sure they rode the D, but he definitely won that Pittsburgh game.

We all know Tebow's a bad QB, but I don't think he's a guy who shows his best in practice, his best is when he's actually out there scrambling around and throwing incompletions so bad they CANNOT be intercepted.

Signing him to be the backup and to get his fair share of touches in the wildcat. That never happened and he accepted his role all season as a punt protector and guy who hardly gets snaps. The team sold him a line and he expected a chance to start if needed, as the #2 QB...when Sanchez struggles week after week, the Jets never did anything to adjust their gameplan or utilize him more to see if he could provide a spark. Then when Sanchez gets benched, he gets skipped over for the #3 ....that's the "situation". The team brought him in under the guise of them using him....he accepted his role and was not happy that him being a good teammate and accepting his limited playing time got him nowhere. That's the "situation"...I can't blame him. The team never even gave him a look or let him try to have his own drive even with Sanchez playing like the worst QB in the league.

They didn't go because of him. Hes one of the biggest "they went in spite of him" qbs the league has ever seen.

I would never say they went because of him, that is foolish. But he didn't turn the ball over and he did have a few comeback drives.

The Pittsburgh game was all him though, 300+ yards on that defense in the playoffs.

My whole point was looking at him in practice aint the right way to evaluate him, he's ones of those where what he does best does not occur in practice.

Why wasn't this the case when Kyle Orton was starting and they were 4-18 over his last 18 starts?
