I would never say they went because of him, that is foolish. But he didn't turn the ball over and he did have a few comeback drives.

The Pittsburgh game was all him though, 300+ yards on that defense in the playoffs.

My whole point was looking at him in practice aint the right way to evaluate him, he's ones of those where what he does best does not occur in practice.

Tose comebacks was all the defense. "He" isn't even the reason for those.

And LOL at practice not being the proper way to evaluate a player!!!

:wow:

Why wasn't this the case when Kyle Orton was starting and they were 4-18 over his last 18 starts?

Because the light bulb on Von Miller didnt click yet.

Funny how when the Broncos lost three straight before backdooring into the playoffs, his five interceptions during that span doesn't count. :heh:

In fairness to Rex, I can see why he wouldn't wanna use Tebow long term. To prepare for a game every week where you're relying on divine intervention instead of what you put into practice is frustrating. That's why nobody seriously wants him at QB. Tebow's like Angels In The Outfield only management wants to get rid of him because they're tired of having to rely on a kid flapping his arms to know things are looking up

Did I say it wasn't the proper way to evaluate any player, no I said it's the improper way to evaluate him.

Half his game is making something out of nothing, they don't do that shyt in practice, no one hits the QB.

He was the reason they beat you guys last year, that 90 something yard drive was all on him when it counted

it all counts, but something was different between Tebow and Orton which caused the broncoes to win.

Yes...the Broncos defense, like I said before and you find difficulty absorbing.

The Broncos Defense gave up 10, 13, 13, 15, and 24 points in that span. tebow was kept in games because of them.

Games were also close because Tebow wasn't the turnover machine Orton was, it cut's both ways.

Denver's D kept the broncoes in the game for 3 1/2 quarters until Tebown finally made some plays and they won.

to me they needed eachother Tebow and the D

Pretty much, as bad as Tebow is, he does one thing that usually bad QB's don't do well, he protects the ball.

He really is just an indifferent player, he usually gives you nothing really good or nothing really bad.

Whereas a guy like Sanchez often gives you the really bad

If that we're the case, all it takes is a team to never pass, don't fumble and they're in games. :pacspit:

Tebow didn't turn Von Miller into an 11 tackles, 2 sack a game monster. He didn't make Champ Bailey ball out. They didn't need Tebow. They balled out themselves. And it's funny how you completely neglected his play when they lost three straight, one game a 7-3 loss.

Just plain dumb man.

When Sanchez was the same qb he is when the Jets were going to afc championships, FURTHER than Tebow, no one said the Jets defense "needed him" in order to be where they were at. Now you're saying it for Tebow.

Signing him to be the backup and to get his fair share of touches in the wildcat. That never happened and he accepted his role all season as a punt protector and guy who hardly gets snaps. The team sold him a line and he expected a chance to start if needed, as the #2 QB...when Sanchez struggles week after week, the Jets never did anything to adjust their gameplan or utilize him more to see if he could provide a spark. Then when Sanchez gets benched, he gets skipped over for the #3 ....that's the "situation". The team brought him in under the guise of them using him....he accepted his role and was not happy that him being a good teammate and accepting his limited playing time got him nowhere. That's the "situation"...I can't blame him. The team never even gave him a look or let him try to have his own drive even with Sanchez playing like the worst QB in the league.
:dahell: So you're privy to the conversations the team had with Tebow when they were trading for him? You know what role he was told he was going to have? I see cats all throughout this thread saying Tebow was promised this, told he'd get that many snaps. You know you can't just say random things without getting called out for it right? Where is the proof of Tebow being told he'd get the playing time you're saying he was gonna get? Is it in his contract? Rex Ryan and Sporano made a point of not getting into how he was going to be used this preseason. There were even stories about how Rex refused to tell the media how he planned to use Tebow. Ryan has been saying all season he won't let the media dictate what he does.

And "fair share of touches in the wildcat"? How many touches would be "fair" for Tebow to get? What does the word fair have to do with any of this in general? Tim Tebow isn't entitled to get touches. My mind is genuinely blown that cats are making these kind of arguments. No backup is entitled to anything but to warm the bench and be ready when called upon. Being a good teammate isn't supposed to get you anywhere. He was a #3 that skipped over a #2 just last year. Where was the indignation there? Y'all nikkas are pulling hamstrings running to make excuses for what is nothing but an extreme case of entitlement and egomania.

For you cats caping for Tebow, answer me this question: how many snaps would be fair for Kellen Clemens, Tyler Thigpen, Colt McCoy, Jordan Palmer or Dan Orlovsky to get?

Edit:
And I can't :snoop: enough at saying a quarterback beat another quarterback or another team. Some of the most ignorant shyt I see people say when it comes to football.
