When Sanchez was the same qb he is when the Jets were going to afc championships, FURTHER than Tebow, no one said the Jets defense "needed him" in order to be where they were at. Now you're saying it for Tebow.

:rudy:

But Sanchez wasn't the same QB as Tebow when he was going to Ship games, he was still turning the ball over much more.

Turnovers is the #1 thing you want to avoid as a QB, Sanchez never could avoid them

:dahell: So you're privy to the conversations the team had with Tebow when they were trading for him? You know what role he was told he was going to have? I see cats all throughout this thread saying Tebow was promised this, told he'd get that many snaps. You know you can't just say random things without getting called out for it right? Where is the proof of Tebow being told he'd get the playing time you're saying he was gonna get? Is it in his contract? Rex Ryan and Sporano made a point of not getting into how he was going to be used this preseason. There were even stories about how Rex refused to tell the media how he planned to use Tebow. Ryan has been saying all season he won't let the media dictate what he does.

And "fair share of touches in the wildcat"? How many touches would be "fair" for Tebow to get? What does the word fair have to do with any of this in general? Tim Tebow isn't entitled to get touches. My mind is genuinely blown that cats are making these kind of arguments. No backup is entitled to anything but to warm the bench and be ready when called upon. Being a good teammate isn't supposed to get you anywhere. He was a #3 that skipped over a #2 just last year. Where was the indignation there? Y'all nikkas are pulling hamstrings running to make excuses for what is nothing but an extreme case of entitlement and egomania.

For you cats caping for Tebow, answer me this question: how many snaps would be fair for Kellen Clemens, Tyler Thigpen, Colt McCoy, Jordan Palmer or Dan Orlovsky to get?

Edit:
And I can't :snoop: enough at saying a quarterback beat another quarterback or another team. Some of the most ignorant shyt I see people say when it comes to football.
Yeah the same way we are privy to the conversation that Tebow and Rex had that started this thread :shaq2:

:wtf: @ you hanging on the word "fair" in the phrase "fair share" ...let me rephrase it for you...."fair share" meaning more snaps and chances to come in as a change of pace QB, esp with how poorly Sanchez played this year..as a QB who started and won a playoff game last year, is it "fair" to assume Tebow thought he would be used more in the wild cat and get more snaps than he has? I think so....you call it entitlement, I call it expectation. I don't think Tebow was entitled to more snaps but I as well as he damn sure expected more snaps, esp considering how bad the offense and QB were.

:heh: @ the backup QBs you listed...any of them run the wildcat and play behind one of the 5 worst QBs in the league? It's whatever, don't know why I'm wasting my time on this topic...guess I'd rather talk about the jets problems than the giants problems right now :shaq2:

Merrill Hoge hit the nail on the damn head. Salute to that man.

Even if Tebow was promised the first shot at Sanchez's job or 15-20 snaps a game. SO WHAT?

You know how many players are promised stuff? shyt, I'm sure Owners and GM's who selected the likes of Ryan Leaf, Tim Couch, David Carr, Jawalrus, etc. all looked them dead in the eye and said "son, you're going to be our franchise QB for the next 15 years and we're gonna be successful together and win Super Bowls"

Once the GM's and owners found out those guys sucked, they changed their mind.

I'm sure when the 49ers drafted AJ Jenkins in the 1st round this past year they probably told him "you're gonna be a big part of the game plan this year, so study the playbook and be ready"... did things work out that way? No. But if a bunch of other receivers get injured, is AJ Jenkins justified in telling the team to kick rocks and not put him in? Of course not.

Games were also close because Tebow wasn't the turnover machine Orton was, it cut's both ways.

Denver's D kept the broncoes in the game for 3 1/2 quarters until Tebown finally made some plays and they won.

to me they needed eachother Tebow and the D

:merchant:

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Yeah, the looks heartbroken and lost without him this season. :usure:

Denver's receivers were fukking celebrating when they got rid of tebow. How the fukk are people still making pro-tebow arguments at the end of 2012? How retarded are you people?

He can expect whatever he wants, it's not his choice. Plenty of players don't get what they expect. They're not refusing to do their job because of it. Matt Flynn signed with the Seahawks expecting to start. I haven't heard any stories about dude refusing to do anything for the team 16 weeks into the season and having only attempted 9 passes. Tebow winning a playoff game on another team last year has nothing to do with his role on this team, just like Sanchez getting to two AFC Championships has no bearing on his current play. He thought he'd be used more in the wildcat and then tells them not to play him in the wildcat in the second to last game? Again, Rex nor Sporano never said they planned on playing Tebow any definite number or percentage of snaps. Sanchez sucked and they felt Tebow wouldn't do any better so they kept his ass on the bench. They thought McElroy would help them do better so they initially pulled Sanchez for him then they started him last week. The coaches job is to optimize the potential of his team. If you have a problem with how Ryan went about that then cool. But it's not at all cool or justifiable for Tebow to straight up say he's all about the team all year and how he's willing to help however he can and then say don't put me in the wildcat.

So if you run the wildcat and the starting QB is bad it's cool to refuse to play if you don't get the snaps you feel you're entitled to?

Yes...the Broncos defense, like I said before and you find difficulty absorbing.

The Broncos Defense gave up 10, 13, 13, 15, and 24 points in that span. tebow was kept in games because of them.

Yep, and you could see the team starting to hit that wall towards the end of the regular season. I think they lost their last 3,then they caught Pittsburgh without a couple of their players at home.

no one hates Tebow.

The angst is directed at the people who support Tebow over every semblance of fact and logic.

I've seen some post in here that would disagree with saying NO ONE hates Tebow.

I've long said it's the biased supporters and media who make logical supporters of Tebow, like myself, look like we're illogical as well.

What makes this Tebow thing funny is that with the personnel the Jets had on offense AFTER Holmes went down (and he's not even a number 1 WR in all honesty) would of been hard for ANY of the QB's on the Jets to succeed let alone a below 50% career passer

This post is hilarious given your handle nickname and avi.

Not really, he talks about the stupidity of holding a press conference focusing on the fact he missed one practice. He felt the significance of that was stupid the they should have been talking about the game. But the press spun it as if he doesn't ever practice and hates it or whatever, and dumb ass people ate that shyt up. If I had a dollar for every time I heard some cac say "practice, you're talking about practice? Muahhahahaha:aicmon:
