i diet everyday and i do abs once a week. but when i work out other muscles that involve the core, i make sure to do it correctly form wise

Bump up the frequency, nobody that has crazy abs just did them once a week. Even programs like P90x and Insanity have you doing them multiple times a week.

edit: now :whoa:, i know what ur thinkin. "only once a week"...but i browse simplyshredded.com and some of them fitness models don't even have a set day for abs and some blatantly say they dont work out abs but their shredded :manny:

They may not have a set day for it, but they probably finish off their routines with ab/core work. Only way you're going to make up for not hitting your abs directly is genetics or doing a ton of squats and deadlifts to engage them. shyt Ahhhhnold was hitting them everyday...

Start doing them Monday, Wednesday and Friday, what you're doing isn't working right now so switch it up.

its all about losing bodyfat, which takes time

if i could gain abs without having to specifically work them...:blessed:

at the end of the day, if you feel you arent losing bodyfat, reduce calories GRADUALLY(IE 100cal)

but you dont need a super hard deficit, you wanna preserve as much muscle as possible if you want the greatest effect when you are done cutting.

my good friend went from being fat in his midsection to now having a 6pack.

He jogs like 2-3 miles a day and watches what he eats. He only does minimal ab exercises.

He never thought he'd have abs given his build. But he lost about 25-30 lbs in order to get them.

if thats true, you definitely losing

if you can manage that and the protein is high just keep doing what you doing

i promise you if the cals are matching up you doing right. :whew:
