thought it was just Sony huh....don't forget last year MS had plans to do this even back then

These publishers want a cut of that second hand market bread man. I'd rather an online pass of sorts maybe to get them something instead of totally killing the used game market. Does that mean you can't take games over to a friends or relatives house? I dunno man.

I don't believe this story. I don't think either company will block used games. That would be a big mistake. And I think it's an even bigger mistake to require an Internet connection in order to play.

I'll wait for the official information to come out before I pass judgement, but these types of features are what will differentiate the two systems.

Edit: I think it would be a big advantage for one system or the other if they don't block used games and the other one does.

It's painfully obvious that both MS and Sony are looking to kill the 2nd hand market. I just don't see that shyt riding somehow.

you got kids with consoles in their rooms with no online connection, so how would they be able to play? I'd call :duck: but I don't put shyt pass the Suits at these companies.

Real talk, I wonder what this'll mean for next gen system mod-chips and game stealing...possibly make it easier than ever? Or would it make it even harder? Someone who knows that ish school me. I remember the modded Xbox (Xecutor I think it was called) and the five dollar burnt games that you could build a library with...that was a good time in my life.

problem is that newer games required you updating your system software, so you got screwed trying to play newer burnt games.

and I totally believe the built in kinect though....that bloatest OS might be trying to do too much.

Damn, I'm too lazy to stay ahead of the trends too...Looks like I'm legit sticking to a PS2 and a multi-tap.

The only way this can be good for MS is if Sony also does it. If Sony allows you to play games on any system then this nect MS system is going to be seen as :trash:

Yeah they'd be killing a lot of businesses. Gamefly, GameStop, redbox just to name a few

This would be a horrible idea, I just don't see it happening
