I'm about to cop a fresh PS2 and spend the next gen buying used games for 10 bucks a pop on Ebay. Fruck progression, I'm good with a 40 second load screen, memory cards and okay graphics...I grew up with Atari and NES, PS2 is just fine.

underpaying and over-charging for used videogames that's how

You can't just blame Gamestop, how about customers who let them rape their wallet can share the blame as well.

Gamestop wouldn't be in business if the people who buy used games from them were smart enough to look for alternatives.

Now killing the used games market just because of Gamestop shady? That's just stupid and does more harm than good.

This is both good and bad. If gamestop cant sell used games for next gen systems, it will start to sell retro games again to stay afloat. Gamestop knows that retro games have a huge secondary market and will just tap into this again. Have to admit that it would be nice to walk into a GS and buy PS1, SNES and other games. Might be able to finally find Earthbound for less than $100. Sadly if you trade in Earthbound they still will only give you $30 tops for it. You guys have to learn how to take advantage of GS, use them for what they provide and ignore there crappy trade in values.

Sony is probably happy that MS announced this because now they have a reason to implement it as well.

:snoop:

Sony already started a version of this with that damn online code shyt that you need to unlock a game's online portion :smh:

If they do this, there needs to be a public outcry and mass mutiny via people simply NOT BUYING this shyt.

Let content suppliers know that they simply should not have any control after I have paid for the product. Ok, sure.... I won't pirate games or attempt to make money off someone else's hard work but once I purchase a game, it's my right to do whatever the fukk I want with it.

Imagine buying a car that you can't resell. You'd be a fool to buy it. I'm not leasing games, I am buying them. The only way this should would even be halfway acceptable is if games cost $25 MAX.

Then they could say... hey, we lowered the prices, go get your own if you want to play. But you know they're going to keep prices the same or raise them. They can't have it both ways.

You know Xbots will be lined up day 1 forking over the cash for this and it's accessories saying, "well I don't even buy used games anyway."

This is terrible.

nobody is forcing anyone to use gamestop. i've sold and bought used games on Craigslist for good value. there are other options.

Word.

I've bought some relatively new used games off of Gamefly and the prices were decent.
