He didn't drop in 2018. DAMN dropped sprint 2017. Pandemic happened Spring 2020. Thats 3 years. Then he didn't drop an album until 2022. 5 years hiatus. Which is 2 years prior to now. Pandemic ain't an excuse. Nas dropped like 6 albums in the span of that time and was in his late 40s.
Black Panther soundtrack dropped in 2018 and spawned multiple hits and won Grammies.

The album had legs and singles from DAMN were still popping then too.

BP Soundtrack ain't a Kendrick solo album.
God damn yall are dumb 😂

He was still present musically. What are you saying 😂

It had like 3-4 top ten hits while LOVE was still all over the radio and billboards.

Things didn’t get really quiet for Kendrick until 2020. He was still all over the place musically from 2017-late 2019.

this is such a myth:snoop:

2012 gkmc
2013/2014 features
2015 tpab
2016 untitled
2017 damn
2018 black panther
2022 mr morale which was supposed to drop in 2020 but covid
2024 the beef
tbh in terms of size thats good...in terms of quality, thats impressive.
He doesn't even have to release any more music than that. Some of the legends he's competing don't even have such a big catalog...and its all quality.

Also Section 80 in 2011.

Just like after the Nas vs Jay Z beef, it depends on what you value more in a rapper. You could make argument that Kendrick (Nas) is the better rapper, but most will still say that Drake (Jay Z) makes better songs. They still all below Biggie tho, he’s the GOAT at doing both.

Hell, if we want to go back further. He dropped Overly Dedicated in 2010 and the Kendrick Lamar EP in 2009.

Drake never made a good album...objectively. He was never in the convo.

At best people were saying Drake as an rnb version of Macklemore
