I don't know why people think Stern was being disrespectful. Stern answered a dumb question with a "loaded question" to show Rome it was a dumb question.

It's a response used by lawyers as a rhetorical device. You can't answer the question either way without admitting guilt.
Stern asked "do you still beat your wife" no? well how is answering "thats asinine because I've never practised domestic violence or committed grievous bodily harm before" an admission of guilt? it wasnt that great of a question rome couldn't wriggle out of, homes

Are yall this dense? Stern wasn't actually accusing Rome of beating his wife, that's why he didn't answer that question. Stern was accusing Rome of asking a ridiculous and unfair question. The exact question Stern asked is a specific & recycled idiom like question. The question wasn't literal but figurative.

Poor Rome, he was so pissed. He was backed into a corner with the wife shyt...and then Stern hit him with the "you've made a career out of cheap thrills" comment. :ooh:

Between this interview & that Cowherd one earlier this year... :wow:

I don't like Stern but after hearing this Stern is :win:

I use to watch JRIB whenever I got the chance. His burns were always entertaining to say the least. This interview is classic already, you dont ask the commish if the fix is in. Crazy that stern called him out on that shyt though.

Rome makes 15.

twice that, actually. dude is caking at an absurd level. 30 mill a year, JUST for the radio show. tv show is just frosting on the cake

But the TV show isn’t where Rome’s bread is buttered. The eye-opening tidbit in the report was a note that Rome makes $30 million a year from his syndicated radio show, according to James Andrews Miller, who co-authored a book about ESPN.

Keep that in mind the next time someone gets apoplectic about a star athlete gets a mega contract.

The deal Albert Pujols just signed with the Angels averages $24 million for 10 years. With incentives, it could pay him $268 million over 20 years, but that’s well short of what Rome makes to talk about sports on the radio, not counting whatever he makes for the TV show.

Rome, in fact, rakes in more from “The Jim Rome Show” than any American athlete earns in annual salary. More than LeBron James ($14.5 million) and Dwyane Wade ($14.2 million) combined received from the Heat last season.

need sources...I find it hard to believe dude is bringing in $20+ mil from a radio show...almost nobody in radio makes that...only like Rush Limbaugh and Howard Stern.
