He answered questions about the CP3 debacle and even when there was evidence from other owners implicating they gave input on voiding the trade, he still was calm and collected when said evidence was thrown in his face

He had to answer questions because there were legitimate league sources saying Stern nixed the trade because it was unfair to the rest of the league. Nobody's doing that with this fixed lottery issue. It's only fans and sports talk radio. Stern don't give a fukk about them talking.

This is not true at all. It was talked about all day on ESPN the day after the lottery. To me Stern came off more unprofessional than Rome.
But on the real, fukk both of them :hmm:

Again, all talk. No reporters are coming forth with info from someone working in the NBA saying the lottery is fishy.

No one's made any formal allegations. There's only been talk from fans on sports talk radio. And Bill Simmons.
lets not play semantics

is this year the first time that you've heard draft fixing rumors discussed?

But the thing I'm saying is he remained calm cool Stern. He acted like a commissioner. And it's not just fans. Even Woj from Yahoo wrote an article on it along with others so it's not just us that's starting to question the validity of the process

It's not semantics. If there had to be a court case about this shyt, it'd get thrown out with the quickness. There's no real evidence. It's very possible the draft could be rigged, but Stern can't afford to give a shyt about "very possible".

:what: Seriously? :wtf: :wow: who knew?

Dog rome is eating unspeakably well. He purposely doesn't talk money but look that shyt up...

...its also why espn hates him: he doesn't NEED espn. He ain't leaving cali for nothing, and he always did his shows his way, which REALLY just a vehicle to promote the radio show. CBS recently showed him even MORE cheddar and he said fukk bristol.

It only looks shady, and the results of the past lotteries are really fishy. But that still doesn't amount to much to a lawyer like Stern. That's all circumstantial.

So every irrational belief that people have is worthy of being asked? :rudy: Should Obama field questions on extra terrestrials every press conference he does? A lot of people believe in them. The lottery has been shown to not be rigged plenty of times. If nikkas want to cover their ears and believe what they want then good for them but that doesn't mean Stern has to field dumbass questions about it.

That's the whole point. Rome shouldn't have to prove a made up trap question just like Stern shouldn't have to do the same thing just because people believe Rome's made up trap question.

And lol @ nikkas sad cause some of us don't automatically just say fukk Stern. :shaq2:
Well Obama did get asked about extra terrestrials more than once

If the majority of the fans who watch the games have question about the lotto be fixed then then the question must be asked. I don't understand how people can't see this is a fair question.

and the whole "Stern's question is just as off-base as Rome's" theme is stupid too..

unless you can prove there have been outcries or rumors of Jim beating his wife in the past..

there have been allegations of fixed draft lotteries since at least '85.. Rome asked a question that was actually on the minds of fans, not just some bullshyt allegation out of thin air.

Allegations with what evidence? I swear some of y'all are fukking dense. Both statements are baseless. One of them just happens to have been repeated so much that people run with it. That's how conspiracy theories work. Not to mention that sports lend themselves to conspiracy theories. Now that Stern brought up Rome beating his wife, even without meaning it and there being no proof, there's already people that believe it. Whenever Rome is brought up now I'm sure there'll be dumbasses on twitter calling him a wife beater cause that's how people operate.

Maybe it's been brought up before; but why didn't Rome just reply, "I've never beaten my wife?"

dude, nobody's talking about the legal system or court cases.

it has long been RUMORED that the draft is rigged. it was a fair topic for Rome to bring up since N.O. winning the lottery is still fresh in fan's minds.

there have been 0 rumors that i've ever heard of Jim Rome beating his wife. it was a childish response to a question the commissioner didn't like. you've tried to turn this into something else 3 or 4 times now.

If you don't like the lotto, what are you gonna do? Are you gonna stop watching games? Stern will only care if starts causing real damage to the league's credibility. People talking that they think it's rigged means nothing.
