He said no and people still think the lottery was rigged.
Read the first few pages of the thread. It's established pretty quickly that it's something lawyers say all the time.
Stern is just mad because rome is ballin harder. fukk david stern. Carl in rosemead thinks david sern is an idiot.
War the XR4TI, Orin in Denver, and alvins mix.
The reason this is not a unfair question is a lot of people believe that the lottery is fixed.
That's the whole point. Rome shouldn't have to prove a made up trap question just like Stern shouldn't have to do the same thing just because people believe Rome's made up trap question. Why?
I doubt it. No one would of even been talking about this interview.Stern said no. And went over how regardless of the results people would claim the fix was in.
Yes some people would say it was fixed no matter what, but not the majority of people. Not as many people was saying it was fixed last year. Why? Because Cleveland had the best chance of winning the lotto last year. The reason why it is more of an issue this year is because the league owns the team. And not as many people would of said it was fixed if the Bobcats would of won it. Would some people have? Sure. But not like they are saying it now. The Hornets jumped over 3 other teams to win the lottery. When that happens and the league owns the team it is fair to ask questions.
And this isn't the first time he's been asked the question, and it's not the first time he's responded with the No. People have been calling the lotto fixed since the first one in 85 when they did the drawing live.
The league didn't own the Knicks.
And yes, Rome would've went into the NBA owning the team and other shyt regarding the lottery, he wasn't just gonna change topics after Stern said no. Regardless of Stern's answer, the story was gonna be Rome grills Stern about the lottery.
Stern makes like 8 mil a year though........
oh trust me, I don't fault Stern whatsoever. he used cac's #1 tool and rome went to the #2 tool by crying unfair when the tables turned. this was a great lesson in cacology 101. hopefully nikkas take notice so we learn to defeat these cacs. That's the whole point. Rome shouldn't have to prove a made up trap question just like Stern shouldn't have to do the same thing just because people believe Rome's made up trap question.
Rome makes 15.
If Stern answers if the lottery is fixed or not, he legitimizes the issue of a fixed lottery.
and the whole "Stern's question is just as off-base as Rome's" theme is stupid too..
unless you can prove there have been outcries or rumors of Jim beating his wife in the past..
there have been allegations of fixed draft lotteries since at least '85.. Rome asked a question that was actually on the minds of fans, not just some bullshyt allegation out of thin air.

This is not true at all. It was talked about all day on ESPN the day after the lottery. To me Stern came off more unprofessional than Rome. You don't ask a question about a serious issue like rigging a draft like that simply because "people are talking". Rigging a draft could force Stern out of his job and the NBA into a serious crisis. You need actual evidence to back up a big question like that. That's how journalists get their asses handed to them by athletes/coaches/GM's. Not only do you make a fool of yourself in the public eye, but it trivializes a potentially serious issue when Stern's able to swat it away with such ease.
Yes you do. If the majority of the people of watch the sport believe that the lottery maybe fixed it is a issue a journalist needs to bring up. Rome did not accuse him of fixing the lotta. Rome said many times after the lotto that he don't think Stern would do something like that. This wasn't a hard hitting question. It was a softball setup for Stern to address this issue.
Nobody's talking about the Hornets or the Lakers trade (Seriously, the only people who still care about the CP blocked trade are Laker fans). It was a dumb question; Stern was never going to answer it, and Rome got what was coming to him for framing it in such an unprofessional manner.
