AD has basically put up the same stats for his career. The only difference is he plays with a better team.

What does this even mean? There are multiple guys who have turned sugar to shyt multiple times to get their team in the playoffs consistently on top of that they’ve gotten further in the playoffs. Why the excuses?

I was responding to Bron made AD better. AD has been a dominant player. He was just injury prone. That’s it.

Lebron James absolutely made Anthony Davis better. There’s a long list of guys who have put up numbers and end up watchzing the offs in April

5 playoff wins in 7 years?

They were the underdog...

Most teams didnt care for his numbers...they felt like they were winning regardless...
Bounced Twice by gsw ..think they cared if he dropped 30?

We gonna do this for every outmanned, underdog that put up numbers? Dude has balled in every circumstance he's been put in so I don't know why he wouldn't ball in a circumstance that has yielded the best record in the L and back to back MVPs for Giannis.

You don’t even know how many playoff series AD participated in with The Pels but your opinion is appreciated
My bad, fukk nikka.

He was a beast in his *three* postseason series before he went to LA.

Your reply was appreciated.

If a motivated Embid shows up dedicated to being the best he can rival AD on both sides of the ball as far as impact. He could easily be the best big in today's game but he can't stay in shape and i'm not sure if he desires to be an all time great or not. But if you pair him up with another player the caliber of Bron or close to it we might change out perception of him kind of like many did with AD.

nah

ijs he wasn't getting best in the league love til he got to be a happy #2 to one of the best ever. must be nice :yeshrug: meanwhile embiid stuck playing on one of the most poorly put together rosters in the league alongside a dude that legitimately handicaps his game. the narratives about embiid on some other shyt right now...

anthony davis was getting shyt too regarding leadership, empty stats, and being frail for years. the overnight best in the league stuff is what's wild. lebron 'holding people back' probably the dumbest storyline to ever get traction...

Giannis vs Miami compared to AD vs Miami. Giannis looked completely shook and had Bam looking like Hakeem. AD tore Miami apart and had Bam looking like Robert Sacre. Nothing Giannis does better than AD outside of playmaking.

Giannis is the 2 time MVP and carried a team to the best record in the league. How did it go with AD when he had to carry a team on his own instead of being the 1B to the greatest player in the history of the sport? It's not even something we have to speculate about because we've seen it. It didn't go well.

Philly bouls, Trust the Process
I agree with this, except for the fact that i think all three would be great alongside Luka, Harden or Lebron :mjlol:
I think all 3 would do well, I'm saying AD is best suited to have one of those guys.
Fit is relative.

Embiid needs a specific type of support cast to fit around him; one that gives him the appropriate spacing, ball-handlers/creators and depth to balance out his foibles. Whereas you can quite literally throw any type of player around Jokic and he'll make it fit. He's pretty much the Steph Curry of bigs.
All players benefit from having the type of things Embiid's team is lacking in - floor spacing. It's not like Embiid is looking for some rare player archetype next to him, it's the basic stuff you'd expect on any good team in today's game that the Sixers have just blatantly failed at providing. Jokic is an overall better offensive player than Embiid and more versatile, I'm not denying that, but I think his passing is why he can fit with more and is more versatile, not because he's better at creating his own scoring opportunities. If Embiid had floor spacing around him like other great players he'd be much more dominant than he already is.

When it comes to creating one's own offense, creating scoring opportunities for yourself, I think Embiid is better than Jokic. Jokic has the overall better offensive package because he adds creation for others, but Embiid's defense, considering Center is still the most important defensive position, makes up for that.

Depends if you consider Giannis a "big". If so, then he's still better than AD. If not, then yes- AD is easily the best big in the league.

I think ADs shooting puts him above Giannis. He’s not a complete liability in that aspect.
