I remember the first time I ever watched AD play. It was like before his rookie year and was a Team USA scrimmage or something. Dude snatched someone's shot out the air on defense, ran down the floor through defenders, and capped it off with a dunk. Right then and there I knew that man had next:hubie:

Yea he is. Coming into the season I would've made an argument for Joel Embiid, but this season proved he still has a way to go to catch AD, but due to Embiid's inconsistency and what AD showed he can do in the biggest moments.

its crazy how people shyt on lebron for not making his teammates better but as soon as these dudes who did nothing prior win with him they start getting best in the league mentions :jbhmm:
He doesn’t make all stars that much better, if anything he diminishes them.

role players, yes they look better.

dafuq you mean probably:gucci: man the fukk up and say what you mean with your chest. what is the probably for? who is in the conversation with this young man??? say the Joker I fukkin dare you lmao
You believe AD is in conversation, solely by himself?

That's fine if you believe that, but can you point to all your posts saying this prior to the season? If you didn't hold this view prior to 2020, how could you possibly hold this stance now given the fact he's in a greater position than every single big man in the league?

Philly bouls, Trust the Process
I think at this point it comes down to team construction between Embiid, Jokic, and AD.

I think AD is the best big to pair with an elite passer/perimeter creator like LeBron, Luka, Harden, etc. but the worst if you needed someone to carry a team and be the #1 option. He's the best at finishing what others can create for him, but I don't think he's on Embiid's level in terms of consistently creating for himself, and he's not on Jokic's level of being able to create for others and elevate his teammates.

so nobody is going to own up to their fukkery?? I should've bookmarked the post where fool called him top 3:mjlol:

for now let me just get at these nikkas

put him on the bucks and what :dwillhuh: Giannis is still there, and Middleton has proven himself to be a fringe #2 let alone a #3 guy, and would absolutely relieve pressure from AD. I'm not quite sure what argument you're making.

There's certainly some truth to this, but I don't know if Embiid deserves to be in this conversation as it pertains to team construction. He's redundant in this given that Jokic is better at consistently creating for himself, while also being better and creating for others and being the centralizing force of a team. The contrasting argument to that is only relevant to AD who is the more compatible big next to a lead creator.

It's like some paper, scissors, rock shyt, and Jokic is the scissors and rock, AD the paper, and Embiid is a pebble.

true on the offensive end but i also think hes grown in these playoffs. davis plus minus was double digits higher than lebron's in 2 out of the 4 lakers finals wins and the other two his was higher by 3 in one and tied in the other. specifically in this comparison i think his versatility gives him a slight edge over the other two, but not being the clear no.1 and doing over the grind of a full season is a valid point. plus if you switch davis onto either of those teams and hes forced to play center does he break down.
