1. It's hilarious how angry this whole story is making Nas fans, the thought that their god could have possibly had other people writing for him has brought out all types of defenses, countless "exhibits" (pun definitely intended) of how Nas is so superior to every breathing organism in the world, and flat out denial.

The problem is the claims are not credible in the least. Dream saying Untitled was authored by stic.man and Jay Elec and she heard 6 tracks that Nas just spat like a parrot is near impossible. We know stic and Nas were working in the studio together -- as artists do -- but that's different from the claim she's making which is not believable at all.

Keep in mind she just made a couple cryptic tweets then refused to follow up with more info. When the other blogger guy who got a call from Jay Elec explained his 'reasoning' about Untitled it has holes wide enough to drive a truck through. I bet if she elaborated on her reasoning you'd get something similar.

Also, anyone who thinks Untitled's songs are a huge departure from Nas' staple content either hasn't heard the album or hasn't heard the rest of his work

Who cares? Let NAS cook with his new lexapro flow. If Jay elec wrote queens get the money NAS let him do that because he was just throwing material out there to fulfill his contract and did elect a solid. shyt is a non issue.

coming up with the concept of a song is different from actually writing down the bars...

if a producer says to me write a song about the end of the world and i write 3 verses, does that mean he ghostwrote my shyt?

nah this is bull I dont believe anyone wrote for Nas

ghostwriting always been part of hip hop.

Ice Cube was the one writing Dre and Cube's rhymes Foxy Brown had Nas and Jay-Z writing for her

Of course. Dre nor Eazy were writers and foxy was well. Foxy. But if hiphop undisputed classics by revered legends start being revealed as having been ghost written shyt could get just as ugly on these blogs, websites etc as the sports media did when their heroes started getting popped for them roids

If I found out Willie D actually wrote most of the Diary by Scarface I'd have the :sadbron: for a moment.

Oh I ain't saying anything is fact, but what's funny to me is how angry Nas fans are getting.

Look, anyone can deduce that the mystery surrounding this whole story makes it highly unlikely and extremely difficult to believe, but that hasn't stopped Nas fans from straight up flipping out at someone even suggesting that their savior of the heavens above may have possibly had someone else penning his biblical sermons

what was the situation with SC?

Superb claimed he wrote the whole album.

Thing is, Ghost clearly has had a ghostwriter at least once in his career, on "Tony/Montana" on Cormega's Legal Hustle album. Not only has Ghost confirmed it (I forget where and when) but he even got a line on the verse "See Trife in a bentley with a group of bytches", he ain't even bother to change the name to his own

that wasnt really ghostwriting, everybody is credited right in the notes. as was mostly the case with juice crew. kane was writing shante and biz's most popular joints long before he came out as an artist.

As far as the rumors about myself and jay electronika ghost writing for Nas, let me say this. Nas is one of the if not the most prolific original lyricist to EVER do it. My contributions to his album was a collaboration and an honor and under his direction of what he wanted to convey and say. Haters cant discredit that man's genuis. Nas is the Don.
