2yrs 4-5 mil total with team option is what you offer baker. Don't like it, hit the bushes.

Few questions

Why is rambis still on the team
Why haven't we gotten a GM yet?
What's taking this melo trade so long?

I haven't been happy with a few moves but overall I'm satisfied going into the season. We should be fun to watch but the tank will be full force and we should be in the running for michael porter, ayton or bamba. And with melo gone, we should have cap space for free agents

@I.V. nice analogy.
But...

Isn't tanking sort of saying, let's defraud welfare by reaping a benefit when I know I could actually do better and on the mean time I'm going to cop the Benz anyway and save up the other income to get the Brownstone after welfare that probably should have went to another person helped me save up for when I'm ready?

:troll:

..... you acting like this isn't a come up

Knowing the Knicks FO, the Melo deal is done, they just wanted to have a fall-guy in place. I wouldn't be shocked if they hastily promote someone then announce the trade. Slimy muhfukkers!
I actually thought that is why Griffin said "no" but I am hearing Portland got cold feet.....

I'm just going to say, I'm looking forward to three season considering I was about to resign my fandom if Phil had gotten away with doing that bullshyt that we won't speak of. :blessed:

The type of contract Baker got is usually reserved for a guy who plays 20 mins a game. I don't know if he's even ready for that type of role.

true....but theyre in better shape the last few years than the knicks....
they've been the rebuilding (particularly the bucks) and still winning more games than us
and you were sending shots at giannis and embiid all last season
cmon bruh :pachaha:
i aint gotta tag witnesses

Giannis I really don't care for, I like Jabari. Met him once, cool kid. Embiid though :leostare: he gets too much hype for a cat that only played like 30 something games in 3 fukking years. But that's a topic for another day

Sorry but Baker is whack, always has been.

The Tim signing was bad because of the price tag and this is whack because Baker is. I'm positive there are 10 free agents better than both Baker and Tim.

And NY still doesn't have a PG, which is probably the most important position on the court.

The front court is solid. The back court is :scust:. The Knicks respond by overpaying Tim Hardaway Jr and re-signing Ron Baker :dame:

I'm not defending us signing tim, but the going rate for a SG was about 16-18 mil, he averaged 15pts a game off the bench so yes he deserved every penny. He can easily be a 20pt guy as a starter.

I don't get why people are so blown away with these ridiculous contracts, it's just the way the NBA currently is.

Tim Hardaway will hopefully be good. I was wrong about him being a waste of sperm, so maybe he will actually be good one day. I ain't mad at that contract. It's much better than the noah deal

Knicks can never get their backcourt straight. That's why things have been so bad for Melo (minus Jr smith)

Frank better be Giannis McCollum for the Knicks in a year or two.

But imagine if Knicks drafted Dennis Smith Jr and traded for Avery Bradley or even signed KCP :noah:

AND got a nice older veteran PG :damn:

I just feel like Knicks had every chance to revitalize the franchise this offseason and they blew it. Now the only option is to just continue losing, tanking and blaming Melo".

I can't even blame Carmelo for wanting to leave now.

I think it's important to note that agents aren't stupid- they are aware of the dysfunction just as well as we are.

If y'all can't see that at this point, agents aren't claiming their client would take less money on a competent team so if NY, at this stage, is going to sign them, they'll need to sweeten the deal, then I don't know...

with or without melo,
if we keep the team the way it is, we are not gonna be bad enough for a top 5 pick
last year we sucked primarily because of all the drama off the court, injuries, and changing the offense and defense every two games
we are a pretty talented team
30 somethings wins without melo 40 something with him
again, if you are doing a full rebuild, den u buy out noah, u trade courtney lee and melo, and u dont give tim hardaway all that money.
we stuck somewhere inbetween
