Good news: we didn't get saddled with a bad contract (Anderson)
Bad news: we didn't get a decent pick or by some miracle get rid of Noah's contract :mjcry:
Good news: we're going to tank and get in position for a nice draft pick
Bad news: NBA is probably gonna change lottery rules just to fukk with us :mjcry:
Good news: KP will finally get to take over the team
Bad news: Beasley, Jack and Kanter will jack up 20 shots per game :mjcry:
Good news: We'll get a break from constant media shots at Melo and the team
Bad news: Isola is writing a hitjob piece on KP as we speak :mjcry:
Good news: I'll be able to find some cheap Tuesday/Wednesday tickets during the season
Bad news: I have to find a new avi :mjcry:

Good news: We'll never have to read another post by bytch ass @Francis White in this thread :blessed:
On you didn't know I am happy and will fully support the team now that the bloated cancer is no longer with them. Guaranteed he will miss up OKC.

He had a No trade clause, it limited the trade options out there and even if he didn't teams aren't giving up a lot for players over 30 anymore.

Nah, first rounders are valuable, doesn't matter where they fall now. Even 2nd rounders have value, teams have shifted how they view picks and just throwing first rounders in a deal doesn't happen unless a young star is being traded, or a very bad deal is being moved and you need the pick for incentive to take on the contract.

McDermot & Kanter are really irrelevant, they are there to make the salary work and not much else. The deal is all about moving Melo and clearing room for the team to develop around Kristaps.

That's my point. Drafting true franchise players isn't as clear cut is it used to be. It's basically been Pick 1-3, with everyone else being about the same level. Most of the players are low to mid-tier, possibly rotational players, but nothing to be able to throw in a trade and feel you got robbed. Second rounders aren't even making the teams.

Also, they're gonna revamp the lottery system to where tanking won't significantly help you. Bottom line, OKC made a win now trade, and we didn't even get a piece to help build around KP. He's the next scapegoat. This is the same Timmy Jr that fans couldn't stand...a rookie PG, a C that at best will be Gortat-level, Lance Thomas starting at 3? We don't even have enough to move for young athletic players for a core with KP. Not even an Abriness? The rookie G...hell, even Robinson. Basically, it'll be KP playing with less help than Melo did...cause Melo was at least a vicious scorer. KP isn't that yet. It's gonna be a rough 2 years. I say he's traded in 3.

Good riddance. A lot of blame to go around, but I am just glad the Knicks can start moving on from this horrible era. This run was even worse than the Allan Houston run.

I am willing to cut Melo a bit of slack because remember when Allan Houston got all the blame? Scott Layden as well? What is the underlying problem...the front office. Scott Layden is now doing work on the Timberwolves and look at the quick turnaround with him being the GM on about 18 months.

And yes he should not have been pocket watching Jeremy Lin. He was the best PG he had in this entire disastrous project.

Next up? The Knicks fukking it up with Porzingis in the next 2-3 years. I can't wait :mjcry:

Nope
Knick fans always looking for someone to blame
KP is up next
Has nothin to do with melo

:duck:
Your post lacks context. Melo, during his prime, has been on teams trying to contend for the playoffs. Porzingis, an up and coming, is going to be the number one option on a rebuilding/tanking. If he doesn't make strides (consistent scoring, anchoring a defense, better rebounding, efficient shooting, etc), then I think it's fair to criticise him.

you are proving my point lol
fair or not fair, knicks have expectations for KP that he may not be ready for, and if he doesnt produce he will be booed
lets see how he deals witth that
hes already coming into the season unhappy, and i highly doubt hes excited about a rebuild
