Should say i'm not considering this a flop in normal terms but we're in an age where streaming numbers count so what the fukk does it matter anymore.

It matters because Dre most likely will go back in hiding for another decade because of the lackluster response.

He won't. The next decade is his last chance. Whether Snoop's project was good or not or the reception won't put him off. If he was ever going to release in this decade he will. He won't go out on a Snoop album when just a few years ago he made 300+ songs in one lockdown alone. Missionary was just one idea of many.

I was trying to defend this album but I think it's safe to say it was mid and forgettable
True, I always use the "replay factor" as the ultimate test.

If you don't go back to an album after the first week, then it's probably mid with a few tracks you like then it's on to the next thing.

It's ok...I don't expect much from OGs like Dre and Snoop at this point of their careers. The short film they did was fun tho :pachaha:

Dunno if it’s been mentioned but…

Dre’s current production team being called The ICU is hella fitting.

Dre‘s music career is on life support after this album.

His next production team finna be called The Light.
Dr. Dre hasn't experienced putting his name on something that has came and went to the extent that Missionary did, I almost forgot the album's name as I typed that

They will rework it to be as though it was just a promotion release and it will stricken from his official catalog

All so he can live with the illusion of "my last album was the Chronic"

Or ... This best course of action, since his music isn't going yo be congruent with the axioms of the brand he is legend for, he can retire Dr. Dre. Make music as Andre Young and create something more consistent with the music he actually wants to make ... Fair warning, that is going to feature a lot of Marsha Ambrosia and that dude Interscope made in a lab by crossing DNA of Charles Hamilton with Chance the Rapper.

Basically ... On this "The Light" team you propose, should be Dam-Funk and they can bring back World Class Wreckin Cru style music

To be fair I have been making Snoop Dogg playlists recently (the best tracks from lesser projects) and I have a bunch from Missionary in there and they fit well and sound good. So the music isn’t all bad. It’s just that it’s mostly just standard latter-day Snoop Dogg fare.
