yep, I do that a lot too. I still have a Big Pun's Capital Punishment sealed vinyl from 98. I bought the cd and vinyl when it dropped back then.

I received the cd for this last week and I wanted to buy the vinyl. I was in Target tonight and these mfers wanted $40 for this record. Fuk no!!! Not doing that.

i know damn well dre recorded that shyt digitally. i appreciate the thought behind releasing it to vinyl, but as far as audio quality goes you might as well buy the CD

yeah, recording to tape is expensive as fukk today. Just maintaining a tape machine is high. 2 inch tape today cost upward of $400 a reel. You can get it cheaper used, but people just aren't recording to tape anymore. Takes too long for the recording process when everything is at the click of their fingertips.

Dre spent a lot of time with Ali to teach him engineering & mixing. They both mix in mono and in the box...it's pretty rare tbh.

I've read a lot of articles about the benefits of mixing in mono. So is pressing the mono button on your DAW's stereo output...

I watched that mini movie they did to promote this album. Was very good. Surprised at how well they can act now. I suppose it’s been over 20 years since Training Day etc. They are a whole lot better.
